I dont hate him, I hate what he did to the game. He made cheats that were widely accessible and that ruined the game. I understand he has a new job and so on but that doesnt change the fact that he was once the biggest cheat writer for CS.

THERE SHOULD BE HONEYPOT TRAPS SET UP ALL OVER THE NET, HARDCORE VIRUSING OF CHEAETERS IRC NETWORKS, AND A BASIC FIGHT FIRE WITH FIRE METHODOLOGY. Then you would see the difference between a good coder and a crap ne, if they want a challenge valve should give them one. Oh and sorry for caps, cant be arsed to write it all out again.

Cheaters and the coders that enable them should be done away with. I left 3/4 of the way through the Steam Beta because both it and CS1.5 had so many damned cheaters there was no point to playing anymore. At all. Typically a good hacker will be able to switch teams and generally make a nuisance of themselves once discovered, even when both teams are trying to kick them.



Cheaters are frustrating not just because they are going against the established "rules" of the game, but many of them are ignorant children who are actually trying to ruin the game. Either to "force valve" to switch back to 1.5, or because they don't really play anymore and want to piss of others, some because they got kicked or have some other beef with a clan or the cs community at large. They have many reasons, but it all boils down to their inability to cope with a natural human relationship. You know, like those football guys that like to beat up homosexuals on the weekend. There's just some spark of common decency that their mommies never beat into them. As soon as you load up that hack, you are taking away from the beauty and skill that is CS.

Aye, agree, i always get the impression that the mentality of the average cheater is skewed - the demographic of cs means that we are or were at one time mostly spoiled middle class kids or else how do we afford this (pretty damn expensive) hobby. To do well everyone needs the best setup and knowledge of the game (goddamn rates) but as all noobs find out just having that doesn't make a player good.



The difference between a good and disruptive player is that the good player has learnt consideration for others and appreciate that this is the actual leisure time of another real human being, whereas the cheater, tk'er or whatever realise this same thing but continue to carry on with the mental age of the twelve or thirteen yr ie. likes to trip ppl up and laugh when they fall.



I can almost excuse the ones who actually are children since it's natural for them to be selfish, and there are a lot of em that squeak over voice comm. However, I especially get annoyed by the older players who should really know better but continue to be absolute dicks with no remorse, it's clear that their conduct genuinely reflects their attitude in everyday life too. i actively avoid people like this in real life and i don't see why i should have to tolerate them online.



Luckily, my regular servers have some extremely trigger happy admins and even slightly discourteous players don't really stand a chance anymore...

I disagree....sure some cheaters may have "social problems" or whatever...but i think the majority do it just because its FUN.



Yup..i would think its fun to go running around...pwning people with aimbot..shooting a guy behind a box when he has no idea you can see him. Tru..i dont hack, but i doubt that most hackers are trying to "cope" withsomething.

They can't. He can't get punished. He has a very strong agreement protecting ALL of his cheats. (JoolzOGC to MetaCheat 4)



So people, stop saying Valve should sue him. They can't. He cannot be held responsible, only users of his cheats (who use them diferently then he states in the agreement) can be taken to court.



They can only get him for the hundreds of thousands of cd keys he has stolen. But Joolz is a smart guy, and I'm sure he doesn't have those anywhere in sight.
