He didn't criticized the weekly updates but the fact that a few times the updates actually created a bug (how can they upload that without testing it is beyond me) and so people had to wait for a patch of the patch. And when they didn't created a bug it was about a crappy skull icon for headshot.
All this creating the feeling that updates are made by high school trainees during their holidays (and playtested by a team of monkey to save money) and not by professional coders.
Last exemple is the CSS desktop icon in the last updates, it's just so ugly that in 40 minutes a guy (rancid-milk-man) uploaded a better homemaid icon in steampowered's forums.

if they care for the community, why can't they ask before pushing a CT at the beach on sunset as the new desktop icon ? (or even make a contest to keep the aforementioned community alive)
about this delay i bet that good ol' Valve ran out of bananas for the monkeys, so they are on strike and stopped coding the beta

ive been an avid cs fan since the early beta days, it was the only fps i played.....well i bought doom3 and am having a blast in it. Im thinking just like all of ids games in the past they patch the hell out of multiplayer to improve it. the people that say it reminds them of hl1 is kind of funny...after doom3 is doom1 retold....which came out before hl1
Im really dissapointed about source...i was hoping to play it soon...but im guessing i wont get to play it before i go to iraq.... (end of august) im just hoping the year i am gone they delay it for all you guys....so when i get back i dont have to be a nub all over...and can get the game when it comes out....hehehComment

P.S. That doesnt mean the iraq's are T's. I'm just assuming that because his going to Iraq his in the army(not sure which army),but that his in the army,or which ever division. So he could be more llike a CT....just a thought, and that noone would flame me for this.Comment

yeah i hate missing out on all the game realeases i have been looking foward to for like the last 4 or more years....atleast i barely got doom3 but ill miss hl2 and cs:source and maybe cs2 (if they make one)..... i got an idea for the cpl world tour.... make a stop in iraq.... throw a lan party....ill bring mre's for everyone!!!!!!!Comment

In either case, Valve supports us, so I see no reason for us not to support them. It would not be a pleasant world if someone jumped on anothers throat each time they miscalculated something/made a mistake in writing.
Imagine, you tell your friends, which you have had for 7 years, a few incorrect pieces of information. Once they discover you told them inadvertant, incorrect points, they jump on your throat calling you a liar and an untrustworthy person, abandoning you and making alliances against you.
In this case, its a Beta test. Everyone is bashing valve about creating a "false" release date for a Pre Load on Steam, when the date was not even official, as I previously stated. Why turn on a friend that has been by your side for 7 years, supporting you through a game that is based on an engine which is extremely outdated?
Why doesn't everyone just back off for a second, and think about how many beta tests have been delayed without informing the community immediately and then get back to me.Comment
