I wonder why valve even mentions a date. They should just get it together completely finished..then say a date. They seem to delay EVERYTHING. Even stupid beta tests are delayed.......

either you are full of shit or your 9800pro has 500 megs of video ram on board for Ultra settings.



and dont go predicting who will outsell who.. you dont even know if HL2 will ever come out. If you look at the facts, only one of the games is actually selling.

omg....hahaha...at this point it would seem impossible to be...but i am truly amazed...i have never ragged on valve and even this doesnt really interest me considering i dont ever play cs anymore (but i still love csn) but c'mon guys this is plain and simple "BAD BUSINESS" get your act together

Well... I am a bit surprised, but then again I should have expected something and not gotten my hopes up too high.



The game has been playable in Korea, at G-Phoria now, and there still is some delay? (Sad face)



Back to Doom 3 for now then. Here's hoping the BETA comes out before I have to return to college near the end of the month where my initial net usage may be spotty at best.

BTW, my 9800xt can run doom 3 on ultra settings @ 1024x768 just fine too. type benchmark in the console (ctl+alt+~) and you can get your fps. I got 60 fps with AA @ 16x. Didnt notice any mouse lag even in huge rooms. God that game is scary.......and beautiful. It almost made me shit my panties.

Bad Business? Its a beta, they didn't even have to do it in the first place.



They chose to involve the community, you don't have to purchase CZ or go to a cyber cafe, they are just offering it. That alone should be enough to satisfy you.

I doubt this will be much of delay. A week, maybe two at the most. Valve wants HL2 and CS source out the door asap, so it can hit the shelves for the holidays, and they can collect a fat check.

Me too, because it's not a Tuesday and no one at Valve has said that it would be released on September 1st.

doom3 was WaYYYY overhyped..

IMO, the game is not that great cept for its graphics... can't argue with its grafix lol (I've played the game foo~) Just an average shooter



(strangely.. while playing it.. I couldn't stop thinking that some parts bring me back memories of HL1.. like the resonance cascade in HL1 and the hell breaking loose in Doom3.. and Hell demons teleporting into the facility just like those damned Aliens in HL1 etc.)
