I was expecting a delay. I knew something was up when the 28th passed with no incident. I was expecting a preload for Cyber Cafes to begin, but I shrugged it off. After the 1st passed, then I really knew the BETA was delayed. Cyber Cafes didn't get the posters/other things they were promised. I knew the Cyber Cafes were supposed to have it exclusivly for about a week or more, so I just added it all up and I got "delay."Comment

Hey VALVe. I've got an idea. Don't give out release dates. Ever. The only time we should know about when a game is going to come out is when its gone gold, or started pre-loading. It'd be a nice surprise instead of the delays that we expect every freakin time.Comment

I have faith in Valve. If anything, the delay was to improve the game. The improvements would most likely be derived from comments received at the expos in which the beta was displayed.
You guys should stop attacking them. The amount of support and information they give their community far surpasses any other gaming company in existance. A delay means they care about a perfect release, not that they are attempting to upset every person who is looking forward to the game.

- makes deal to sell CZ and ATI Radeon Cards for the source BETA
- BETA is not here
- players stuck with crap game and crap card - poor ATI performance on Doom..

Who cares if the pre-load is delayed. I will only be upset if the release date gets delayed. Whats the difference if its loaded a few days earlier if you cant start it up untill the 10th? However, I would like an icon to show up letting the eligible know that its coming to them soon, just a little something to give us hope.Comment
