Put it this way.....if Dust is cool on Source, ALL maps will be cool on Source. I even know why so many love Dust (and Aztec for that matter)....They are simple maps with not much going on. They both really only have 2 choke points. Most people don't want to think too much about their surroundings when playing. The more complicated the map is, the less people like it. It's why no one likes the maps I'd really like to see, including Piranesi. That's one that is already interesting. Should be sweet on Source.

I can't wait to see what CS:S maps exist a year from now... we could have properly huge maps like Liberty Island, or even a remake of cs_desert...

Personally, I'm REALLY tempted to go back to my Doom days, when all I tried to make were maps of my school. These days I want to map out the town centre, which should fit easily within Source's bounds. I'll need to grab some photos though...

Of course, the reason why Doom recreations of real-life were so cool was because they forced you to use your imagination, and they always felt strangely familiar, both because you knew the place and also you knew Doom.

            I'll stop going off-topic now. I didn't mention Doom 3 twice though.

There have been too many previews for me to care anymore. I'll get excited when I see the games on store shelves.
              right on.

enough with the previews. get that shit out!

              + doom3 is awesome

Here's what I want to know, will nades do damage through walls? Will hostages get hurt from falls? And will they fix that silly bug that messed up the "" face?

Good question about the nades. In 1.6 they do...in CZ they don't but they are much more powerful. You can die from 1 nade at full health if it lands in your lap. Not so with 1.6. I'm curious as to which way they will go on CS:S.

from the looks of it nades seem more realistic so i going to put money on more of cz style nades

lol, i think everyone tried that, and then realized being restricted to one level (height-wise) kinda screwed your design. btw did you know that modelling a federal building in 3d can be considered a federal crime? mmm. so much for de_fortknox.

For some reason I doubt you'd be prosecuted.

                          Dude... NO....

Wanna know why CS is fun?

                          - SMALLER MAPS - No bullshit walking 3 hours to find one person or having to run across the whole map for no reason.

                          - Fast

                          - Intence (Health is always a factor with diff gun shots, and taking cover, your always like, WILL THIS BOX GET SHOT TREW OR WHAT!)

                          HUGE maps would suck ass.

Last I checked they were 5 minute rounds still. I still run into people who obviously drink too much caffeine who freak if a round lasts more than 40 seconds. I tell em to go play on a fy_iceworld server.

^^Lol? anyway, Kigrind you should be able to select what servers are rotated on a map. Big map, 10 people playing...2 slow and boring. Small map, 30 people playing..2 fast.Big map, many people...Good Idea, fun. Small map, and not many people...Good Job. It realy all depends on how many people are playing...
