I can't connect to steam. It says "updating" and then (after 30 secs)asks me if I want to retry or continue in offline mode. I checked the status page and all content servers seem to be available. I don't understand. Oh well. I'll just mimic playing cs in front of a screenshot, I hope that'll give me some relief.

On a totally unrelated note since the last update im getting a very wierd error, something about "Bad File player\models\urban\urban.mdl Please reinstall the file". I know this normally occurs when you have custom models installed, but I haven't been using any custom models for a looooong time. I don't even have a models folder in my cstrike folder anymore. I even reinstalled CS completey yesterday without any change. From one day to another I'm unable to connect to a lot of servers because of a phantom file I'm accused of having tinkered with.
Any idea what this is?Comment

I rarely play CS unless I have a clanwar, but just when I decide to play CS it doesn't work :/
I'm wondering, do these updates even get tested before they're released, or is the testing done after they're released to the public? If it's the former, then the people responsible for testing are repeatedly failing. If it's the latter, then Valve, you seriously deserve all the shite you get from all these pubescant teens.Comment

I've never had any probs with CS until today, where I cannot connect now!! Never had any memory problems or nothing (and I'm running 256MB SD-RAM - don't worry an upgrade is in the works).
Oh well sort it out tomorrow or something when I have more time.....Comment

For all you Steam haters, how many times has WON been down in the past? I remember a couple of times.. I guess all of you went flaming and ranting WON aswell then because you obviously have no lives and go nuts in you can't play CS for 2 hours on a sunday afternoon.. Really, get a life!!
There's obviously some serious network problems going on at Valve or the network to Valve that took Steam offline.. I guess they'll tell us what happened asap..Comment
