oh really? my game never crashed on me.. what's up with that????

maybe i'm just lucky.. or maybe I just don't play enough to the point where I get an error message...
    Never crashed aswell.. Dunno why..

And it's CS 1.6 crashing, not Steam.. Steam is not a game engine or something where CS 1.6 runs on.. Maybe that's why people flame others when they blame Steam again..

I'm glad to know critical bugs are fixed quickly. Now if only the annoying bugs were fixed with any regularity. I have full confidence all will be fixed in time (until and unless the source engine takes over the market), but it'd be nice if it was a little sooner.

Great.. Now when I try to take a screenshot I get an error and CS quits. Dunno if this has anything to do with the latest update, but I set HLtoolz to "high quality" settings.

Screenshots work fine for me. That seems like an un-related issue, I don't see why Valve would suddenly have to mess with the SS code for the first time in 5 years.

Yeah its probably my fault. I should delete the HLtoolz config, because it probably has something to do with that.

So do we need to update servers or what...

Is it just me, or has the update history been forgotten to be changed?

                            For me, it's something like

                            "Update History:

                            June 28, 2004

                            # Improved behavior of team_say

                            # Server prints team and player info in the console for chat messages

                            # Improved memory efficiency of hitbox animations to address intermittent server lag"

Yeah, me too. Seems whoever is responible for doing the Counter-Strike update page is asleep at the whell.

I'm glad to know the bug came from an update in the first place.

Do they really need to put things in their updates to the point that they create new bugs ?
