    For future whiners:

Everyong needs to stop pissing on themselves and look around to see if they've dropped their dicks in the last couple of minutes. Valve is probably thinking "oh crap" and is trying hard to fix it or is disabling everyone from playing the game because it wants everyone to get the DM first. Don't freak out. Its not the end of the world. Just go watch some porn, touch yourselves, and everything will be okay either later tonight or early morning. its funny cause 4 hours ago you see people thanking valve and now you guys are like "fuck valve." Geez talk about losing your dicks and going through mood swings. Pussies.

    That is all.

On the topic of reviews and reviewers: they're all subjective opinions. The best thing you can do is look at someone's older reviews and try to find someone you more or less agree with. Then, follow their advice. There's always a matter of taste in these sorts of things, you just need to find someone whose taste matches yours.

As for HL2DM...meh. CS is already deathmatch-y enough, I would have preferred some new, more physics-oriented maps for CS (plus, of course, bugfixes and admin features that should have been in three years ago, rather than relying on third-party plugins). If, instead, they had worked out a deal with the Sven Co-op team and given us HL2 co-op + editing tools to make our own maps, I might be excited. This seems like it's targeted at rather specific whines from the reviewing and gaming community, who don't really know what they want but do know something seems to be missing. Unless there's a bunch of very high quality maps released very soon, it'll be even more dead than HLDM before long. "[A release] full of sound and fury, signifying nothing."

Valve work with a mod team? Yea right! Closest thing to that would be that they buy the rights to it and do their own thing with it. Valve is too arrogant to work with any of those people.

This is just one more thing to take their time away from bringing out a new VAC and fixing all the crap in CS:Source. Way to spread yourselves even thinner Valve. The community certainly could have waited for hl2dm.

Get a clue, buddy. First of all, Valve works with mod teams all the time. That includes the CS team before they bought the rights, and they're working with the Natural Selection team right now (correct me if I'm wrong).

And are you seriously deluded enough to think that Valve has been using members of the CS or VAC team to develope HL2DM? That doesn't sound a little, you know, insane to you? They've got a lot of employees over there, and they don't all work on the same thing. This had little or no effect on the development of other Valve properties.

why do you think that the whole community are just like you and only want CS updates the whole time?

besides i cant see any difference whether or not they put in a new player model or a new friggin texture, or a different gun sound, or a different piece of debris on de_dust, or adjust the hitboxes by 0.0001, or give the gun a new animation (since only like 3 rifles and pistols get used anyway)...

honestly who the fluff cares, that stuff is just boring and nothing to get excited about. if you do you must be pretty damm sad.

this is a whole new game which no doubt will be updated and added to - enojoy it. i know i will when i get back from damm uni library!

Because he's the typical arrogant assh*le that gave and is still giving the CS community it's bad reputation.. To many whiners, lamers, cheaters, and arrogant assh*les playing it that think the world should only care about them and their 5+ year old game..

I very much appriciate HL2DM being released.. I'm not a CS-only gamer.. CS rules though! Valve rules too!! No other gamedeveloper has given me and it's community so much gaming fun the last 6 years.. Like EntRo said, if you don't like it, plz uninstall Steam/all Valve games and spear us your crying.. Knpthxs!
