i had winRAR and i clicked view instead of extract, so this time i extracted it and clicked the video.



this video is alot better than the 700,000MB of e3 vid with hl2 and cs:s. i thought when the terrorists shot down the ct's at the bridge, the ct's kinda fell a little bit slow into water or maybe they just made the scene slow motion. kick ass anyways, can't wait till' the beta and then finally the official cs:s and hl2.

yeah, don't rely on a site run by a complete amateur. Sites like Fileshack are still around because they know how to host files well.



OTOH, the two times I have tried to leverage my cs-nationalist membership by using a dedicated mirror for these HL2 files, I end up with DLs that break off. I have yet to DL a complete file off a csn mirror. I visit csnation daily, and have done so for the past 3 years, I figured becoming a cs-nationalist was the logical thing to do to show some appreciation. But why the problem with the mirrors?

For gameplay reasons. Currently in CS, if you get shot at you don't go flying until the last bullet hits, so why should this be any different? I would hate it if a single bullet sent me flying but didn't kill me.

well u can actually fly back a bit even without being killed, i think, might have bad memory =P. If u jump and some1 shoots u with an ak, for example, i think u get thrown backwards.

Yes. If you've ever played any sort of online game, more than 4 players is a must. This isn't a damn console game here, it's PC Doom 3 that only features a maximum of 4 players MP and only comes with 5 playable MP maps at release. That's flat out pathetic on their part.



Granted Doom 3 single player looks good, it doesn't look at good or as organic as HL2 does. D3 has more of a fake, plastic look to it all which just doesn't sit well with me. It should also be noted that everything that the Doom 3 engine can do (dynamic shadows, lighting, etc) so can Source, only not all of those features will be in HL2 at launch. It's just Valve isn't run by a group of morons that push for everything to be super CPU/GPU intensive, and thusly allows for a wider audience to enjoy the game. Hell, even PC Gamer has stated they weren't able to run Doom 3 at the highest possible graphics settings because there was no widely available PC that could possibly handle it. That's some poor calls on Id's part there to not make the game more widely available to the masses.

/tired of people "reviewing" games that aren't even out yet. if you have been holding conversations with your friends that contain "HL2 is better/worse than D3 because...." you should be fried in urine.



side note: the original doom's only allowed 4 players. why can't 4 players cooperatively charging through hell killing demons be fun? sounds fun.
