besides the d3 trailer being 90% scripted everything i saw was doable or better in hl2. for example the ragdoll in hl2 is 100x better. the shading is waht said to be so much better in d3. u can say im a fan boy, but hl2 iin source >>> d3Comment

Doom3 is going to be pretty useless until the mods come out. but i heard making mods for it is so much more complicated than source. plus they managed to make D3 better looking by leaving out a lot of things Source has, such as advanced physics and certain types of lighting, as well as advanced character animating techniques. however, Doom3 does have some better physics regarding hit locations, and it traded off a lot of stuff to have some really detailed models... like the world has less polies and the maps are smaller over all. i actually really like Doom3 but shoot em' ups are not for me.Comment
