99.99999% of this guide is totally useless to anyone who's ever actually played more then a couple of matches.

And the weapon guide is laughable. Seriously. Hahaha. See?

(No the weapon guide really is plain stupid, since when did the P90 fire .338 rounds? That'd be one hell of a gun if it did... and the SG-550, 'waste of money'? What? G3/SG-1, 'less accurate zoomed'? P228 can't go through anything? UMP45 has 'hardly any recoil'? And the M3 never kills armoured people in one body shot, no matter what range. This guy ever even played CS?)

You would think my completely dumb downed guide would be dumbed down enough for most people, apparently not.

                    1. The M3 most certainly does kill fully armoured, full health opponents with a single shot without it being a headshot, if the range is right. It doesn't happen often, but it does happen.

                    2. Of the 2 auto-snipers, the CT version you have to land at least 3 bullets on target to score a kill unless you get a headshot, the T version only requires 2. You can nearly always put 2 out of 5 bullets on target with these 2 guns, but trying to land any more bullets on target at a higher ratio than that, especially when you are running around unzoomed is a lot more difficult.

If you do not believe me, run around with both of them for an hour on a DeathMatch server that allows you to use any gun you like and quickly feel how irritated you will get with the CT Auto-Sniper which doesn't quite finish off your opponents more than you would like compared to the joy which is the T Auto-Sniper which dispatches your opposition with ruthless efficiency.

I will fix the Defuse Kit Notes when I get a chance, since that whole section is a work in progress and will probably change as new weapon eccentricities come to light, as who knows what the next Valve update wil bring?

Honestly though, if the best thing you can do is denounce the whole guide because of few small errors (especially when I leaves notes in the guide, admitting that I am already aware that there are errors) in what is in excess of 40 A4 pages of text, you really have to wonder about some peoples real motivations or whether they actually read and/or understood my guide and its raison d'ĂȘtre at all.

In any case if you don't like it, you don't like it, and there is nothing I can obviously do to change your minds. Im sure there are many others who disagree with you though, but as they say, opinions are like arseholes and you are certainly entitled to yours. :)

the ct autosniper is a great gun...if it can kill in 3 shots its good, the ak takes 4, the colt takes 4..and this things got a scope

I've been using the M3 since 1.5 came out - it can't kill a fully armoured, 100% health enemy with a full-on chest shot. The only ways it can kill in one shot without a headshot is either when they have no armour or if one of the shot hits them in the head, taking out their helmet and reducing their HP severely, then one of the other shot hits their body and it counts as a normal kill in one. However, if every single piece of shot hits their body, and they have armour on and 100% health, it won't kill them, it'll just take off tons of HP.

Like the M3, I've been using the SG-550 for a longer-then-average time, in fact the SG-550 was the second gun I ever used in CS. And it's a damn sight better then the G3/SG-1 is. It's more accurate when zoomed then the G3/SG-1 is (vaguely), it's lighter, it's cheaper, it's got more rounds per magazine, it reloads a bit quicker, and now with the updates it can kill in 3 shots. Now okay, killing in 2 shots would be nicer, but 3 shots? That makes it the third most powerful gun in CS. That's nothing to moan about. And if you're even vaguely good at sniping, you'll hit their head. And if your team is any good, you won't be alone and your teammates will do some damage to, meaning you don't have to hit as many times. The SG-550 is better then the G3/SG-1, simple. It's just plain ol' a better combat weapon. And by the way, there's no such thing as an 'auto-sniper'. The closest you can get to an 'auto-sniper' is to get an assault rifle such as an APS 95, in real life the SG-550 simply has too much recoil at full-auto to be used in a sniper postion and the G3 is used more widely as a normal assualt rifle rather then a sniper rifle, really the G-41 is more of a sniper rifle then the G3 is.

Hoenstly though, if the best you can do is denounce perfectly good weapons and totally fuck up stats on all the other weapons, you really have to wonder about some peoples' knowledge of the game.
In any case if you don't like it, you don't like it, and there is nothing I can obviously do to change your minds. Im sure there are many others who disagree with you though, but as they say, opinions are like arseholes and you are certainly entitled to yours. :)
'As they say'? Who is 'they'? Who actually says that?

Try renaming your 'guide' to 'total newbie guide', and you might be onto something

Yes, I'm one of those gimps that knows every stat about every weapon off-by-heart, so you're not gonna get one past me. And yes, I am this much of a bastard

How the hell could there be a guide for CPL-level playing? What'd be the point? You really think all of SK would sit around their monitors going "oh, hadn't thought of that before..." ?

Actually you are right, and Im wrong

http://www.ggf-gaming.de/weapons/dc_version2.php (Yes it is up to date)

The SIG550 takes FOUR shots to kill an armoured opponent at most ranges, even in close!

The G3SG1 is nearly always a 2 shot 2 kill weapon

                              so much for that argument.

As for the M3, I don't know who you are playing against, but I know what the M3 is capable of doing because the guys I play against can kill me with a single shot if we are close enough, and no headshot icon comes up on my screen, but Im still dead and it still happens in the blink of an eye. I guess we wil have to agree to disagree on the M3 and in any case Im not too fussed since the M3 is rarely used in wars anyhow.

So I should rename my guide to the "Totally Newbie Guide" because you have found 2 debatable errors in it. Good for you.

If my guide is so bad, feel free to write you own since its obvious you are so much more knowlegable than I am, and the CS community could obvioulsy benefit from you vast CS (since 1.5) experience.
