its okay Whisper the guide is good for people who don't know anything about waring:-\ maybe it should be called "Whisper's Beginner's war guide"

but then again its your guide you call it what you want... people make the choice to read it or not its not like you force them into it:-)

The SIG550 takes FOUR shots to kill an armoured opponent at most ranges, even in close!
Ha. Thanks for just totally proving my main point ^_^
As for the M3, I don't know who you are playing against, but I know what the M3 is capable of doing because the guys I play against can kill me with a single shot if we are close enough, and no headshot icon comes up on my screen, but Im still dead and it still happens in the blink of an eye. I guess we wil have to agree to disagree on the M3 and in any case Im not too fussed since the M3 is rarely used in wars anyhow.
I already explained this one, so well done on wasting more of your time.
So I should rename my guide to the "Totally Newbie Guide" because you have found 2 debatable errors in it. Good for you.
You also managed to get the ammo type for the P90 and Galil completly wrong, you managed to ignore the fact that the USp and P228 can go through objects, you ignored the fact that weapons don't go through things based on 'layers', the material used and thickness of the brush (map object) is what counts.
If my guide is so bad, feel free to write you own since its obvious you are so much more knowlegable than I am, and the CS community could obvioulsy benefit from you vast CS (since 1.5) experience.
I'm too lazy to do that. And actually I've been playing since just before 1.5. So 'ha', that's another thing you got wrong :p

          I r bastard

Ok, Im an idiot, I fell for feeding the forum troll, Bokuho

Its quite obvious you do not have any idea what you are talking about Bokuho and that you cannot read English.

For the rest of you, just to clarify things.

The SIG550 is the CT Sniper Rifle, and my point was, not only is it as bad as I claimed, it is in fact worse, as it took more rounds on average to kill somebody than we both claimed, something that obviously escaped your attention, because you were too busy being happy about me being wrong, that you obviously did not comprehend the implications to your own arguments!

The Galils description in the game clearly lists it with a .308 round BUT as most of you already are aware, if you need more Galil ammo all you need to do is pick up any other gun that uses the 5.56 round (Colt, SIG552, AUG, Para) and you ammunition will be replenished. I specifically mention this fact in the weapons table.

The P90's official description says it uses a .338 Calibre Round, again as my guide points out, even though technically it is the same round that the AWP uses, it does not.

The USP and P228 does not shoot through Objects

Layers (given the space constraint I had available in the html table) is about the best definition of what occurs when the HL Engine determines whether a bullet is stopped or allowed to continue to be able to cause damage. A 2 meter concrete block and a single pixel thin wooden door are worth the same amount of layers, much to the consternation of many people who play CS. But this is n00by shit, that any idiot familiar with the game already knows about, but I thought I better clarify the situation just incase somebody who did not know any better was tempted to believe the crap Bokuho spews on these forums.

Please Bokuho can you go troll somewhere else, where your complete lack of knowledge, experience and intelligence is not going to be so painfully apparent.

              Simple enough Bokuho.

If you don't like it, don't read it.

If you have such a problem with it, go make your own guide

This guide made me love the P228.

I just took dominated my regular server with it. It takes three shots. It used to take four. Anyone who has used it in the last while since the updates will tell you, it takes three shots to kill.

It uses 5.7 rounds. Nobody is stupid enough to try and pull off syaing it uses .338 rounds. That's why in game when you use it, it has it listed as using 5.7 rounds. In-effing-game. Don't trust me, i'll go and get a screenshot for you.

Yes they do. Tell someone to stand behind the doors in Aztec and shoot at their head with the P228. Note how they die.

Actually it depends on how the map was made, and how the brush (map object) was made. 'Tis all about the coding baby. Decompile a map and have a look for yourself. Or just ask a mapper. Mappers can set whether you can shoot through something or not.
                on these forums.
                These aren't forums...

I was gonna say the same to you....

I don't have a problem with people getting stuff wrong, but what I do have a problem with is when people get stuff wrong, are corrected, then swear blind they're still right, because they've got too much damn pride to accept that they messed up. You got the P90 ammo wrong. You got the power of the SG-550 wrong. You've evidently not touched upon mapping ever. Live with it. You've been corrected, simple as that.

                In the words of GrefTek:

                - Don't talk BS. If you are unsure of something, look it up. If you can't find it, don't be afraid to ask. Not knowing something isn't a shame. Not knowing and pretending you do, on the other hand, is annoying and negates your credibility.

I've said my bit, if you want to keep going over the same incorrect information then that's fine by me. But when you go and play CS and notice the big '5.7' next to the P90, don't say I didn't tell you so.

P228 is the best pistol tbh. More people should use it, just a shame that most people opt for the more pricey (and frankly tactically worse) Desert Eagle .50AE

Hehe, reminds of those days back in CS 1.3 where I chose it out of it's slightly-less-than-.50AE Joule power along with the 13 rounds because of the VGUI menu. XD (Not that I was disappointed with the gun)

                    Bokuho

I tested all your claims and you are wrong!

P228 & USP does NOT shoot through ANY walls, including the wooden doors on Aztec!

The M3 does kill with 1 shot no Head Shot against full armour and health.

The P90 VGUI Buy Menus specifically says it uses the .338 Laputa Round. In reality it uses the 5.7x28mm Round the same as the 5-7 Pistol.

I was right the first time, the Sig SG-550 Auto-Sniper Rifle kills with 3 Armoured body shots (2 shots comes close but rarely does the job), the H&K G3/SG-1 Auto-Sniper Rifle takes 70 health off a full armour full health body shot almost without fail and the CT Sig SG-550 Sniper Rifle is still crap compared to the T's H&K G3/SG-1 Auto-Sniper Rifle.

Everybody else, feel free to test out my claims and Bokuho's claims and decide for yourself who is right.

P.S. Make sure you are testing with people who can aim when trying to verify our respective claims!
