The mouse reads the pad better when it is heavier. Also, for some reason, people think they're getting more bang for their buck when something feels heavier. I mean, don't you feel kind of ripped off when you spend $50 on a small piece of plastic that weighs nothing at all? The weight makes it feel like there's something really of worth in there [the mouse]. This is only for most people though.

Just did it, and don't regret it. Even though I am quite strong, it made a big difference. To think that anyone would be affected by this modification as a result of not being strong enough is ignorance.

my microsoft intellimouse 1.1 is -= H U G E =- and i fucking hate it. i cant find the screws to open it up to change some bits around inside. they must be hidden under the teflon pads, which if i remove them, i wont be able to put back again.
