You call that confirmed? We're twisting their words! And VALVe said they are trying to get it done during the Summer of 2004 (and they still are, so there is no lying involved). Since when did they have the authority to control the release dates? Last I checked, Vivendi Universal kind of held on to Counter-Strike: Condition Zero since they wanted an international release (as we all know the US version was done, but the others weren't). Even if the game is done now, there's a good chance Vivendi Universal will wait until the winter holidays or some other more profitable time before shipping to stores.
Maybe I should say I'm hoping you will all win a million bucks tommorrow, so you guys can get all excited since it sounded like I confirmed that.Comment

Fall doesn't end till December 21st so we're looking at a december 20th release here
Ok yeah its finally going to be released but you know whats pissing me off about the delay, not that its taking so long, I can wait for ever, but that at the time HL2 was announced my computer was top of the line, I've upgraded a couple of times, It'll play it but Im not putting in anymore money to keep chasing the game around :|Comment

"theoretically" couldnt half-life 2 be released via steam the instant Valve confirms it gold or whatever.....i might misunderstand Vivendi's role but dont they just package and ship the product, (besides finances of course) and isnt that step cut out entirely by steam????? just a thought...please enlighten me because i have probably mis-stepped....appended @ [time="1088813063"]
also as a side note...summer to most of us is the time we are not in school...but technically summer this year ends on sept. 21...so "technically" they could still make the "summer" release date..as was previously predicted...Comment

omg! Fall! Thank god I did'nt order that monstercomp last september in order to play hl2. It would have been old and ready to throw out by the time of hl2's actual release. =)Comment

i mean COME ON!!!!!!! wasnt tha first release date in like september of last year? or was it earlier??? cuz seriously this shit is getting annoying, and my comp was also the top of the line but now its jsut average. i htink its good that valve is still doin all tha finishing touches b ut how fuckin long does it take???? i dont want a shitty game but i want tha damn game quick. i mean, why tourture us with release dates for a whole year???? u brin gour hope up then then stomp them and destry them like a sand castle. :'(Comment
