    Steam Client Update Released

Like a newborn baby, a brand-spanking new Steam update has arrived at our doorsteps in swaddling clothes. And while it's grossly ignorant to believe that babies arrive via huge flying creatures, it is not ignorant to believe the Steam team delivered their baby via the World Wide Internet. This patch includes two improvements for the Steam client itself.
    • improved converting from old cache behavior

    • improved how steam updates to new content versions
That's about it for this patch, but it is important to note that the CS Team is still supporting CS 1.6 while we're all eagerly awaiting it's replacement, CS Source. Head on over to Steampowered.com to see the original change log.

                Steam Client Update Released

A Steam update was released yesterday evening that addresses a few issues.
                • Fixed the in-game overlay not loading for some users

                • Fixed flickering cursor in the in-game overlay for some games

                • Fixed bug in Favorite window display
Now here's a question for you. Has anyone else experienced a crash of both Steam and the game you're starting up after you've had Steam up and running untouched for a number of hours? A crash that effectively closes Steam and forces you to restart the client just to play a game. I'm just looking to see if I'm alone in this.
