No sense mocking Cliffe, in fact I am greatful he takes the time to post on the Steam forums at all.
Who's bashing Cliffe? I agree, it's nice of him to post at all to let people know what's going on. I was just saying that it's not like he promised everyone that the DS update was going to be today, so they "delay" doesn't really mean much.

HAHA, at least the bashing is somewhat funny now
Thank you sir. It's all in good fun, I love Valve.

              Typical, yet okay.

And before you get started on how delays are normal for VALVe, they're normal for practically every company.

Doesn't bother me to wait for free stuff. Beggers can't be choosers, eh? :)

Thanks for letting us know, though. Better to get the stuff later in working condition than a rushed buggy release.

                  It's all Rizzuh's fault.

The only joke here is csnation. Sierra has closed down and you guys havent posted squat about it.

How does Sierra shutting down (despite continuing the brand) really affect CS? VALVe can deal directly with VU, and for future non HL-related stuff, there's always the Activision deal, right?

Point being, Sierra shutting down isn't of major concern to CS players, though it might be mildly interesting to some.

even if valve cant make sierra distribute their games. im sure they will find a distributor for a game as popular as HL2/CS2 extremely easily

and i dont think vivendi is the distributor. sierra are the ones that put the game CD in a box, and call it their own. vivendi do handle all the large financial decisions though, injecting money where its needed, like advertising for ex. its just the parent company with fat cat executives, lining their pockets with the profits of companies under them.

Vivendi are the distributor, Sierra is the publisher.

Oh fine, one of the great publishers that published half life and the such doesnt get a news post, but fucking server deals does? Pur-lease.
