    Deleted Scenes Update Delayed Slightly

Earlier today Jess Cliffe announced on the steampowered.com forums that the previously announced updates to Condition Zero's Deleted Scenes may be delayed another "week or so" from its previously announced release target.

Whee, I'd like to welcome myself to the wonderful world of news submitting.

Valve truly is guilty of being eternal optimists with their releases. I'm sure the wait will be worth it.

It sure makes you wonder what causes these delays though...

one day, a valve employee will go home to his family, and his 7 yr old daughter will say "daddy, what did you get me for my birthday?" and he will reply "im sorry im going to have to delay it till next year"

Figures. Look up "delay" in the dictionary and the first definition is "a habitual business practice of Valve Co."

Not that I'm complaining. I couldn't care less when they release anything from full games, to add-ons for games, to little bug fixes. The release schedule is their prerogative. It's just funny that they seem to delay everything from the really big stuff (HL2) down to the most inconsequential fixes. You'd think they'd be leery of anouncing anything, though I'll admit that Cliffe's mention of the DS update in the Steam forums was hardly a solid promise about the release.

lol seriously even something this small gets delayed, maybe valve should SHUT UP about releases until they are about to push the distribute button.

I don't blame them! We have had 2 Steam application updates recently and servers are quite busy.

No sense mocking Cliffe, in fact I am greatful he takes the time to post on the Steam forums at all.
