#10: All that I have stated was a possibility of the release date concerning Half-Life 2, and nothing more based from the interview. After a more careful observation, yes it was a bit of a misinterpretation. Humans make mistakes. Whether you can comprehend that fact or not is beyond my control. And next time you try to assume who hires who and who does what, please read the Staff page prior to opening your mouth.

Well now Captain Articulate, why don't you apply to join the news team, then you will have the freedom of posting such riveting stories as, "Gabe says that HL2 is a good game because he wants it to be a good game because he is going to put a lot of time and effort into it."



And then we can all marvel in the comments about what an exciting time we live in.



Just to reiterate what has mysteriously disappeared off the front page: HL2 IS DELAYED TILL 2005, DISCUSS.

Whats wrong with everyone? cant you give the [bias]poor[/bias] guys at VALVe a chance? Get this, they have been working their asses off for 5 and a half years on hl2, then they got part of the source code stolen, plus they have the publisher stuffing his hands up their ass demanding a release date, so he can slap his name on the game and load his pockets with cash.



Now they realise, the whole release date thing isn't gonna work!



we have to delay...



and then, everyone starts moaning about how bad VALVe sucks, and how they tried to give the atom bomb to Hitler\gave ammo to Oswald\trained bin laden\put Saddam in power\plan to destroy mankind... and how VAC sucks... (remember 1.3 anyone?) compare that version and what we have now.

or at least, give them some credit for sucking the past 5 years of your life away?

I've gotten past the delay stuff - it'll come out when it comes out. It's going to cost what it's going to cost and run like it's going to run. Now if valve came out and said, "Um ... yeah, we don't like HL2 and we're not going to release it ...", then I could see being upset. Type C personality comes in handy with these things.
