You know if someone else on the servers has the awp and quickswitch they can take out half the server. That mean even if you didn't have an awp it will crash you.

So if I use AMX Mod-X Restrict Wepon Option and turn the AWP off this problem will go away?

They still haven't released the SDK, nor patch 1.6 which was announced way back.

I think they purposly did it for the pubbers who hated the awp, they weren't satasfied with the awp fix because they just die in 3 seconds instead of 1.

It'd be that much nicer if they'd finally implement the "send out the data, wait to activate it" method of updating. Sheesh, it's such a simple solution, and virtually eliminates the flooding issues. Ah well, Steam is still a work in progress, I guess.

I've seen that problem, and I've seen the problem where you spectate someone else running around with a supposedly unloaded shotty, or even myself with the deagle slide still held back. Dunno which, if any, of those they fixed.

I have got this error without using the AWP, while dead, while using a pistol, famas, colt, moving, crouched, reloading.



So anything you think the problem is, it is not.



It also doesn't take 10 minutes, it can take an hour, it can 5 minutes, its completely random time wise.



It can take most of a team out on 1 side as well at respawn on a 32 player server, which is lots of fun if you happen to be still alive on the opposite side and have rushed the oppositions spawn (Seems to happen to Terrorists more, but it might just be pot luck since its 50-50 chance really.



Hopefully Valve will fix it soon, but they are on the West Coast of US so they ought to be arriving at their offices right about now and wil get down to fixing it or at least posting an announcement as to what the cause it!

I'm still not sure if all crashes are simply awp related (even if it's other people using it) or if that's only one of the causes. Either way... I'm sure there will be a fix in the next few days.

Well I've attempted it and it seems to crash on quick swap on ANY sniper rifles :/



Who ever does it, it seems to take out their team.

great...all we needed was a better/easier way for immature (stupid-ass) TKers to kill people ... much less everyone at once. *sigh*
