Counter-Strike Update

The bug has nothing to do with the AWP nor has it anything to do with quickswitching at least not directly.



I have got this error without using the AWP, while dead, while using a pistol, famas, colt, moving, crouched, reloading.



So anything you think the problem is, it is not.



It also doesn't take 10 minutes, it can take an hour, it can 5 minutes, its completely random time wise.



It can take most of a team out on 1 side as well at respawn on a 32 player server, which is lots of fun if you happen to be still alive on the opposite side and have rushed the oppositions spawn (Seems to happen to Terrorists more, but it might just be pot luck since its 50-50 chance really.



Hopefully Valve will fix it soon, but they are on the West Coast of US so they ought to be arriving at their offices right about now and wil get down to fixing it or at least posting an announcement as to what the cause it!

why are they working on the shield if it is being dumped in CS:S (as indicated by cliffe on halflife2.net forums)? Sounds like a waste of time/energy to me....

It should be cut from 1.6 though, and left in CZ i guess. The people who actually like it tend to be CZ owners. I own CZ btw, just saying.

They aren't giving up on CS 1.6 just because CS:S is coming out.... it's a different game.



Obviously they are giving up on CS 1.5 though - thank God.

Was anyone else on the server with a awp? I can recreate this error with a awp and quickswitch. Nothing else will work only awp.

What I forsee happening is that they will do what they are now:



CS- little bug fixes, little attention

CZ- updates (less of, due to CS:S release)

CS:S- updates

so far mine hasn't crashed but I was playing nuke in a pub and for some reason the entire ct side disapeared from the server except for one guy.

You know if someone else on the servers has the awp and quickswitch they can take out half the server. That mean even if you didn't have an awp it will crash you.

It's never crashed me, but it has crashed the other players about 4 times total in the 5 pcw's/mixes I've played today :x
