Anyone have the idea that maybe the different between the server and client code is causing the problem? Most server companies don't upgrade their servers right when a CS client update comes out. GameDaemons does this, and our server still is not updated, as well as mostly everyone elses servers. The old server code along with the new client code that everyone has could cause crashes because of the changes valve has introduced into CS. Just my 2 cents. If tomorrow the crashes still occur then we got a major problem on our hands, but for now, just relax and think about what could cause it to occur, and stop saying GG valve without having a somewhat educated guess on the problem.

As far as the update goes... yeah, I guess I should be grateful I can at least log into Steam, but I can't play CS or CZ at the moment, and if I delete my clientregistry.blob it's not gonna update it. Bah, crashes like no tomorrow, hl.exe memory read, etc etc etc.
I think the server needed a reset, or maybe it was the custom maps... went away when the map hit de_survivor... go fig.
Can they warn before they update though so we know when NOT to bother wasting time waiting for the update cause they don't have enough bandwidth to distribute it all?
This was the most frustrating update to wait for in awhile... it had me screaming how much Valve sucked in IRC, then I see the changelog and changed my mind. Bout time they fixed that Shield glitch... now to remove it...Comment

I get this problem while playing all the time... The intruction at "0x0c115969" referenced memory at "0x0c3a5808" memory could not be "read"...

Damn, I used to use that to my advantage sometimes. Mostly on de_nuke, where you're on the roof, or jumping down from the rocks onto the roof outside the upper bombsite. It made the sound of you just jumping on some more rocks, instead of that metallic roof sound.Comment
