Chris "Recon" Hill
CyberXGames Director
Dear CS Community,
The latest "LAN Tactics" event has crippled CyberXGames (CXG).
Cyber X Games (and it's sponsors) have contributed over 1.7 million dollars for the latest event, which was abruptly cancelled, infuriating many teams and sponsors.
Many were left without answers and frustrated by the complete failure of the event, and the issues that lead to it's cancellation. Though we are fully responsible, we feel that the lack of support from our sponsors contributed to the downfall. CyberXGames apologizes profusely for the time, effort and money rendered useless by the event.
The community has expressed their frustration and anger to the director, Chris Hill, since the event had been "thrown off track" and cancelled. However, CyberXGames maintains that we had done everything to the maximum extent to ensure the success of the event, and we also maintain that LAN Tactic's failure was directly associated to the lack of action by one sponsor.
CyberXGames would like to apologize profusely for the failure of the event. CyberXGames acknowledges the anger and frustration shared through the community, and asks that any such frustration not be directed towards CyberXGames, but towards the sponsors who are at fault.
Sincerely,
Djmelee.com
Interim PR Director
