One of the guys at VALVe I know indirectly was pretty confident about their encryption of actual games in the Steam cache the last time I heard from him. I guess they weren't bothering to use it for the normal CS stuff, though, so those cache files are fairly easy to hack stuff out of.
Without the encryption key, though... well, anything is theoretically possible, but good luck trying it without your NSA supercomputers. :)

Oh yes, what I was going to add originally... I found it amusing that when I started up Steam, it informed me that CS:CZ would automatically preload if I didn't disable preloading for it. Yet when you right click on CZ... there are no properties to set to disable preloading the cache. :) Made me laugh, anyway, as it's so typical to how we've gotten used to steam being (that is, rather quirky and dysfunctional, but still kind of cool).Comment

Solo? I have one of those. Plenty of sites won't accept the Card for Plebs. (UK banks give them out to non credit risks, i.e. they havent got any)Comment

Maybe if you preorder it downloads 100% but if you don't pay it only goes 75%
I doubt if anyone at valve has even heard of solo, I know I haven't and I even know about the BT/Amoco cards. I don't own credit cards, just another way of creating indentured servants. Now where'd I put my cookie jar....Comment
