    Steam Update Re-Release

Update: This update has been released. Restart your Steam client to receive this update. All servers need to be updated/restarted to receive this update. If you updated last night, you do not need to update again.

That's right. Another Steam update is being released tonight. Last night a Steam update was released but due to a bug in the client portion, the update was recalled. This update fixes many bugs plus contains some changes and additions. Please take note that if you already have updated your server, you do not need to update it again tonight. Hopefully this update won't mess up anything on the side.[break="changelog"]» Changed HTTP download behavior to retry connections using old trickle download method if it can't download all files.

» Fixed a crash bug when connecting to a dedicated server with an empty mapcycle.

» Fixed a bug where MP3 volume wasn't working properly.

» Fixed "STEAM UserID 0:0:1 is already in use on this server" message when connecting to LAN servers in offline mode.

» Fixed memory leak in HLTV.

» Fixed bug where the Internet connection speed ("rate") was being improperly set to the default value of 1500, causing poor network performance for many users.

» Games are now marked as ready for offline play when they reach 99.99% of cache loaded rather than 100% (fixed offline play not working for some people)

» Added a "Do you want to restart now?" dialog when language settings are changed

That sounds like a rounding error problem, and a dirty hack to get around it. What happens if my download goes to 99.98%? Ick.

Ever since that big update, my Opposing Force says that it's 98% acquired but it doesn't update. Anyone know what's going on?

See if the drop down box is set to: "Always keep this game up to date" because otherwise it won't update.

I particularly liked the part where I was playing on my server and in the same time Steam was updating DoD content at 500 k/s ...gg ping

I tought Steam was setted so that wouldn't happen :|

I got the new update (I think, hard to tell with steam), but every time I try to start a new CS round, I die. Anyone having this problem?

Edit: Also, CS is being slower than normal, sounds are echoing like mad, and other general slowdowns with CS. But I tried with Opposing Force, works like a charm. *sigh*

Valve has to save the best updates for last to build suspense.

i still get the net_sock: error or whatever. out of nowhere it'll just disconnect me and boot me to the desktop with that error.
