Steam Downtime Complete - Update Released

Ya, i dled the update, and first when i tried to log on it said my internet connection was messed up. Then i exited out and now it says "launching steam" and never stops. I tried to go to steampowered, but it is down for sum reason. WHAT IS GOING ON!!!!!!

Well Seampowered.com is down so im guessing no CS tonight! (or for the next few days untill alot of people have ogt the latest update!)

TBH change the news post, its blatently wrong. By far the majority of steam users are having problems.



I remember before steam was released "properly" that there was supposed to be this trickle system. 2 days before an update you'd start to get the new update downloading slowly. Then they would enable it on the time of the real release.



Whatever happened to that? Surely that would solve all their problems. The system now is stupid. They have 4Gb/s of bandwidth, that is 10 times more than they need 99% of the time, except when they release an update when it still is not enough bandwidth to handle everyone.

But wtf is wrong with steampowered, this is real stupid. Like three forths of Steam users cant get into Steam. I am real dissapointed in Steam...

well.. mine isnt working. Steam is temporarely unavailible. its been saying this for days. But my connection is fine. Oh well. Try again later I suppose

ok everyone that got the new update and can logging into steam, youll' notice the offline mode doesnt work yet.

but online is fine



go in games menu right click on counter-strike, go in propreties and it sayz game status needs update, amount required 63%, offline mode not ready yet.



So im guessing that they only released the updates for offline mode for steam and not the games yet!!!!



So technically they have to release later updates to games for cs, dod , hl cuz they all need updates to be played off line
