Just because you're not heavy doesn't mean that your body fat isn't high, and yes, sitting still for hours on end WILL result in you losing muscle mass and gaining fat, so long as you're still eating.

As far as the "Passion" comment, I found it rather amusing, personally. Movies on religious subjects aren't somehow exempt from being used to comment on violence in society. Agree or not, it did bring out a point that some people accept certain portrayals of violence, but not others.

I mean no disrespect but was that extremely offensive statement really nessesary? Please keep your personal political opinions where they belong IN POLITICAL WEBSITES, not in websites where I like to get my gaming news. CSNATION is better than this.
lol, what a moronic person you are.

Ok "PimpDad82," there is nothing extremely offensive about that. It could be the same as him saying go watch the Matrix and watch Neo get his ass kicked. They are characters in a movie. It's your own connotation that makes it offensive because you probably think anything that mentions the word Jesus outside of The Bible is probably offensive too. Even that Mexican guy down the street.

The movie in question is basically Jesus getting beaten horribly for two hours. I don't see what's offensive about pointing that out.

What I found offensive is the way he called sarcasticly called it "wholesome family entertainment". I am not "entertained" by seeing Jesus getting beaten. I'm sorry if I may have misread it. Please delete my posts, i my intention was not to cause any unessesary drama.

i think game violence is more of a parenting problem than the game itself. your kids shouldnt even have a gun in the first place and if your parents have guns, they should teach their kids not to play around with them. mostly all the kids who blame cs for being stupid are just trying to clear themselves from insanity or in fact trying to get money out of it, in my oppinion. they should die.

oh by the way, i'm not even fat at all and i spend more time on the computer than anyone.

probably because of jesus getting beaten almost to death is somehow ok, compared to the violence in video games. if you saw the movie, you know what i mean.

Lol information like this is always biased... anyone who knows an inkling of psychology knows that there are way too many factors when determining things like this like the age, maturity, perception of the individual etc... Bottom line is, every person reacts with and deals with things differently, that is, different people are able to discern reality from play. Maybe very young kids this may be true when this ability is still young, but, like others said, that would be in the parent's hands.

p.s. I hate articles like this.

                        To clarify:

A lot of the same people vilifying video games and other media for violence are imploring people to see The Passion of the Christ. These people don't recognize the hypocrisy and don't understand that just because the violence is clothed in religion does not make it any less, or more, valid than violence pertaining to other subjects.

I didn't used to think I had to explain every sarcastic comment, but I guess that's what the world is coming to after boob-gate.

I didn't like asspennies' Passion comment, either, though I can understand what prompted it. I'm a social conservative and a Christian who happens to dig Counterstrike, and have no problem with either an accurate depiction of the Messiah's Passion nor with simulated computer violence, especially the tame kind represented by giblet-free Counterstrike. I differ from many of my conservative allies on this, but that's probably because I'm an Atari 2600 generation adult who hasn't abandoned his electronic gaming hobby with maturity, whereas many of the more venerable conservatives still think of videogames as exclusively for children, and they probably find more exciting knocking a ball into a hole in the dirt or watching a bunch of steriod-popping millionaries fight over a ball that they can easily afford to buy themselves than they do ever more realistic-appearing computer renditions of such sports as well as of less mundane and more fantastic endeavors.

Oh, and I don't have a problem with the Second Amendment, either. Some of you have posted here comments concerning how no child should have a gun, but I should remind you that there was a world that existed before your conception, and in that world, not too long ago, kids in the USA used to have loaded rifles displayed from within their unlocked cars and trucks at high school, and there were no Columbine incidents then. So I don't blame guns nor do I blame games, including Counterstrike, on society's ills. As for these Swedish social engineers with too much time on their hands, all I can say is that it should surprise no one to hear that sedentariness and voracious eating accompanied by no physical exercise whatsoever can lead to obesity. That this should come out of a country in a mostly anti-gun and increasingly socialist continent is typical, too. But lumping games into the blame game seems to me way too sensationalistic, and I'm glad that the panel debate in this Swedish documentary remained mostly skeptical of that charge.
