Those wacky Swedes! A new Swedish "scientific" study has some experts saying that video games, like Counter-Strike, make you fat and violent. Or is that violent and fat?
"It's concerning because they (video game players) are rehearsing scripts of behavior that will possibly play themselves out in real life," Michael Rich, a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics who has studied the effects of entertainment media on the physical and mental health of children, was quoted as saying in the 45-minute "Deadly Game" documentary.Remember, the next time you're defusing a bomb or saving hostages, you're practicing to become a deadly killer, fatty. Violence in video games, BAD!. Oh, but go see Jesus getting whipped and beaten for two hours in the new Hollywood blockbuster, that's wholesome family entertainment.
