The violence in the game is not real. It's pixels on a screen, nothing more. But bad language and porn certainly are real. All that we ask from players on our servers is that they respect our rules, whether they agree with them or not. That's not too much to ask, is it?

I think what Corvette said is true for most of us. I usually play CS to have some fun and talk to people that I have met through CS in cTs. I don't play CS for the sake of killing people. There is violence, etc. but that's not the focus. You may say that the action itself makes me guilty of killing (virtual or not). I've never really pondered that. If there was a game where you choose a certain team (let's say blue or red teams), and arm yourself (let's say with different kinds of paintball guns), and you run around on CS-like maps hitting each other, like paintball-no deaths...well, I know it sounds weird, but i'd still be addicted to it. It's not the killing itself that's the focus of the game; it's just the fun you have with others. It's a complicated thing.



On the subject of pornography, cussing, etc...Mostly it's the idea that cTs, as a private clan, wants to keep its environment clean; we can have fun without those elements. Some kids who play would be harshly affected by these things, so we try to protect them as much as possible.



If you want to actually experience cTs, though, try and visit our servers sometime; usually they'll be some cTs members in, and you can talk to them. Come with an open, calm mind--you will enjoy it : )

That makes many non-Christians uncomfortable(no, not just the spelling errors :P), and personally I'm sick of how publicized the Christian religion is. But I won't get into the bashing, because I'm a nice little mindless zombie slave of CSN. :)

At one time I was really big into CS and CSNATION, but it has gotten away in the past few months. I have been a CSNationalist since around July of 2002 and I have been a member of [cTs] since around April of 2003.



Counter-Strike is a great game. Although I haven't played it in about 5 months now (1.6 gives me headaches) you can have many of the same experiences and learn as much playing a organized game of CS as you could playing any sport.



You can learn and use leadership / and teamwork skills in this game just like you can in football. Thats what I loved about football when I was in high school was the "Team" atmosphere around you. [cTs] gives you this atmosphere for Counter-Strike.



Most of us should be old enough and smart enough to know that Counter-strike isn't made to teach pre-teens how to kill. ITS JUST A GAME! The violence in this any other games is not real. When you verbally attack someone over voicecom or through text messages that is real. When you shout a vulgar term after being shot not only is that stupid (control yourself man), but people also hear you. They don't have the option to not hear you on just any public server. [cTs] gives you a place where you can play a video game without having to subject yourself to unwanted images or words.



For everyone that puts down a Christian Server just ask yourself why you need that in this video game. If you do want that in a video game thats fine, but how can you not understand why others wouldn't.



[cTs] is a great place to play cs and if I ever take the time to re-install 1.6 that is the only place I will play. If you are where I was about a year ago... fixing to quit cs because of all the childish admins and players you should give the cTs servers a shot. I hope you enjoy the servers. Maybe you can get closer to your Creator while having fun.

I am a Christian 24/7/365. I gave my life over to the Lord's control years ago. He has placed me within cTs for a reason, that reason being, to use my time and talents for Him through cTs. cTs is not about playing CS to me, it's about the relationships I build because of playing CS.



If you can't understand that, it doesn't surprise me. It's a God thing.

We don't encourage children to play the M rated game, the thing is these children can tell a game from reality. Something everyone should learn: what's reality, and what isn't.

Yes, you're right football, which involves men running into each other wearing protective padding is far more violent than a game that involves shooting the opposing team. As for the Christian soldiers fighting for this country part, they may be Christian, but I don't understand how killing Iraqi's makes them any closer to god than any other person.



Again you guys seems to be saying we're bashing your religion and a bunch of other stuff where you're looking way too deep. It's strange to have an all christian , seperate, private server when all one would need to do is click a mute button.

CS is a game. Porn and cussing?...... Not a game. Again. We're talking about the cTs Christian Team Servers. If you don't like the rules that we implement, then we're not forcing you to play in the server :P

Our servers are not private, nor are they "all Christian". Matter of fact, a lot of cTs members aren't Christians, yet they choose to be a part of cTs because of our stance.



Everyone is welcome on our servers, so long as they follow the rules. But I think that applies to just about every server out there. We just happen to have a few more rules than most, but they are clearly stated when you join the server.

If you haven't caught this yet this is your official invitation to drop by one of our servers. It's pretty easy to get a list of the ips so I won't waste the space. Before you do, however, make sure you get the latest update of Cheating Death as it is required.



I'll be honest with you guys, I wish you looked at the world like I do. Like the rest of the guys in [cTs], we certainly don't want anyone to become a Christian out of coersion; that'd be counteractive to what we're working towards. We do live in a world where there are almost as many points of view as there are people. If being confronted with an opposing view point makes you freak out you'll want to grow some thicker skin. Life, for everyone, is filled with people who will disagree with you.



All that being said, I don't feel as though I'm pressured to become agnostic or athiestic simply because some of you are. If you feel coerced to think like I do simply because you know how I believe, relax.



As someone noted, there are other clans that have formed under a common religeous or philosophical belief. Some of the best models I've seen have come from Clan of the Dead Goat and you could probably easily guess what they believe. They are free to believe how they want to because of the same philosophical principal that allows us to. The same goes for every other clan and, further, every individual. As much as we'd like for you to see the world like we do and even make effort to help you do just that, please don't ever feel that it is anything but an act of your free will. That's how it was for us when we became Christians, that's how it will always be, and we pray that it will be like that for you too.

Guys listen....whether you're christian or not or religious or not is irrellivant...csnation is dedicated towards representing the ENTIRE Counter-strike community....This post is a unique and different aspect to CS.



NO ONE is forcing you to go to thier server...or saying that Christianity is what you should believe in. If what cTs offers interests you..then go play on thier server...if it doesnt appeal to you..then play on any of the other thousands of servers. I dont see how this has become so complicated.

well said bishop. look there is only 1 thing and 1 thing only that i and probably most of the people in cTs ask. Is to have a good clean game, i do not care if you don't like me, nor do i care if you think i shouldn't be telling you what to do, but if you come to our servers you should obey the rules, its not hard. just like if someone comes to your home and starts to wreck everything you most likely wouldn't like that am i not correct? I myself am not a christian nor do i belive in god, if you must know i am 1/2 jewish (and yes jesus was jewish) but i fallow the rules because it is not my server for 1 and i do not pay for it. I used to swear and i got banned from cTs for doing so, but i still swear but not as much and certainly not on the servers why? because it is not my place to do so



We do not force in anyway shape or form for you to play on our servers but if you do all we ask is that you fallow our rules, no comments will be made of who you are, your belifes just to play CS, and after a long day at school (or work for those of you) i personally like to play CS in a nice enviroment were i can relax and not have people constantly swearing, and complaining, if a 6 year old wants to play let him, im sure his/her siblings or parents would know that they have the game, and would most likely turn off the extra blood. and if a 6 year old plays we do not want him/her listening and seeing swear words typed and pornography sprayed from other players. Im sure that for those of you who will have kids someday you will not want that either, i may only be 15 but i would not like my son or daughter telling me to F off, and if i say where did you see that, she said on a game..So once again, only rule is if you come to our servers please do not swear or spray porn, thats all, no more no less
