Just keep an original copy of the custom spray in a safe folder and just go back and copy+paste it after you've been in the options menu. I find I rarely have to go into options anyway, so it's not much of a problem. Currently I've got 156 different custom sprays I've ade, all backed-up.

valve delayed the update a day , some would have hoped that they would have fixed the favorites/history bug which seems to be annoying users more than other minor bugs , I hope that next week they will fix it.

This Steam update has changed how custom sprays work.



To get your old custom sprays to work you have to rename pldecal.wad to tempdecal.wad.



If you want to know who made the spray you see on servers get the server admin to install this.

It seems Cheating-Death 4.10.0 is causing some problems for me on Steam, as Counter-Strike seems to crash (repeating the currently playing audio). Then it recovers a few seconds later and I can play. It happens over and over

Or, you could just put your custom pldecal.wad as read-only. Then it can't get replaced. I go into the options menu all the time, and it works fine for me.

As noted above the sprays are now called tempdecal.wad. You can even delete the pldecal.wad or rename it and it won't be recreated by Steam. So far I've not found a server that has the proper settings to get the custom sprays to show up however. They are still showing up as B's to other players. Perhaps those servers aren't updated properly yet...

okay, some of the changes are great...but the money changes, ie. is the offensive team doesn't win/plant bomb they don't get n e money is just stupid, how is a losing team supposed to save up enough money to make a come back? Especially in scrims/matches. What if they can't plant the bomb? And what is valve's reason for changing the money? It seemed to work just fine before.

I think these changes are for the good, I honestly am one of the few who would revert back to the old day versions. At least I think I am. But I like Steam. Yay.
