Gun Pulled at CXG Qualifier

I went to the miami cxg qualifier that weekend and had a good time. The settings weren't great for a tournament but I don't really have any real complaints except that I didn't get to play mibr. Nobody at the tournament ever got really upset about losing. When ilan lost to mibr by a large margin they weren't too upset. They didn't like the computers too much but they still realize it's a game and there's nothing they can do about it anyways. If you're not enjoying it you should probably get involved with a different sport because you aren't going to make reams of money playing games.

I don't know rizzuh.... People in the US have a much more ignorant mindset than other places in the world, and also there is much more agression stateside. I wouldn't be afraid to say that far too large a percentage of Americans would point a gun at someone if it got them something they wanted. It's extremely sad, but things like this go to show that people cannot handle situations in a manner that is acceptable, or even sane.

wow....this kind of shit is insane, but i'm not too surprised since i play alongside people every day that would think in such a way. I see lots of people in CS servers just waiting to get pissed off so they can go nuts, and it's freaky.

I really don't see the need to own a gun. usa is known for it's "gun freedom" (granted, not all states, and granted, other countries have it too!). but what puzzles me is more generic. why on earth have a gun lying around, let alone carry it around? what's the point? -and then, people say "self-defense", "status symbol" or even "tradition". self-defense smells like aggressiveness. status symbol and tradition smells like stupidity.
