Wow, I couldn't begin to describe my shock over an instance like this. I was a serious advocate against those who wish to limit or ban video games because of the assumptions made that the games led to violence, but this makes me seriously consider those arguments. This event gives gaming a very bad wrap, because it proves for a fact that games lead to violence. I feel sorry for the representative who had a gun pulled on him, I hope that they are able to prosecute the person who did this to the full extent of the law.

Damn. They get way too serious. And this is just going to be an example those damn mothers and government officials will use when they try to ban video games like counterstrike, but little do they know that not all people are like this. That kid was fucked up to begin with, not all gamers are like that. That just shows that you cannot trust stereotypes, and YES, there is a stereotype for gamers: pale, violent, and will kill and cuss whenever they die. Its this kind of bullshit and those fucked up parents that piss me off. Counterstrike isnt the reason for the columbine shooting, gaming isnt the problem. The kids and parents are the problems, why, Mr. and Mrs. Smith buy Grand Theft Auto for 10 year old Little Johnny, and they wonder why their kid is getting the life sentence for killing hookers. It's the ignorant parents and the messed up kids that caused columbine and this shooting, not the games they play.
I hate it when the society and government all try to get some kind of scapegoat to blame for violence, when they are just ignorant and dont even try to deal with it. Its not the rock music, its not the violent games, its not wrestling, its the fucking kid and his idiot parents.Comment

Did i SAY that games lead to violence? I said that stupid people blame violence on gaming and that they just need a scapegoat, which happens to be games at the moment. I was exposed to every rotten aspect of life, like violence, etc. because i live in new york city, but i turned out fine, i get great marks, so this all shows that its not the enviornment, its the person.Comment
