Very tru indeed, distribution to retailers is a big chunk of game sales, they have to concur with all of their major distributors before they release a major title and get contracts worked out. Steam is Valve's platform for content delivery aswell as online game-purchasing features, so regardless Valve would use it after they have distributed games to retailers etc.

Deleted Scenes is a compilation of the better old Ritual Entertainment levels, while the crappier ones got scrapped. Of course, the whole gameplay mode is different (again) so to use these, they sort of had to make up an area to stuff them. Thus Deleted Scenes, fitting with the whole "DVD theme" look of the navigation that they've talked about.



You have to expect a game that's seen 5 different development studios to be a little bit patchworked.

We all know why Sierra held back...to give the X-Box version it's day in the sun. Microsoft knew that if it was a double release all of the hype would be squarely on the PC title. Sad but true.

Sierra and Microsoft are separate from each other, last time I checked, so they would have no reason to help each other out in any way.



Not to mention that console gamers and PC gamers don't tend to spend money on the same games regardless, so CSX and CS:CZ aren't really competing much no matter when each is released.



My only random guess is that Sierra is either:

a) waiting for the international version

b) putting out enough titles around this time of year that they're somewhat backlogged, or

c) not wanting to place too many competing titles out at the same time.



Random guesses with no backup whatsoever, but any of those would make a lot more sense than trying to claim Sierra and Microsoft are in cahoots.

Sorry about that, but they really should realise that they could get away with this crap with Half Life 2 or Doom 3, but to be honest CZ was past it's sell by date over a year ago, and delaying it further is just gonna piss people off more.

Actually ATI also has the 9600se 128mb video card bundled with the ever so anticipated HL2. It supposed to be available by d/l thru STEAM (LOL) or if you wish to pay $6.00 S&H you can get it on CD. Hopefully the coupon does not expire until 2006. LOL!

ACTUALLY, my bro has an xbox and he bought the xbox version...(which really sux because you cant decide how the matches are going to go very much) he plays cs every single dern day on the puter and hogs it all day long. when cz comes out he'll buy that too.



the xbox version isnt the same game at all. it better not be, because they said we had almost limitless control over how the matches are set up for the bots...xbox doesnt have that and its lame. plus the pc version has the deleted scenes. so its not the same game and plenty of ppl will buy both...only if they dont rent the xbox version like my bro shoulda. the xbox version SUCKS...it looks crappier than on a puter too. it SUCKS!
