Cheats aren't a problem. Shield is. I luckily have like 11 or so favorites that I go to whenever a cheater joins. If shield use gets out of hand I have to leave. Usually I stick it out a few rounds and see if it dies off but sometimes that one shield user will continue to use it or it will grow into half the ct team using them.

Was it me, or did that guy seem like one of those really die-hard console fanatics? By the sounds of it, he just wanted another RTCW (I hate that game). It seemed like most of the stuff that's kept me playing counter-strike for four years are bad things to him... *shrugs*

I find the comment by the author ridiculous. Counter-Strike does not have competition. Like rizzuh said, what competition? Counter-Strike may be a good model for other games in the genre, but there is no chance of Counter-Strike losing its appeal any time soon. Or ever. He mentioned Rainbow Six 3, which is probably far more realistic than Counter-Strike. But, personally, I don't believe realism falls under the gameplay category. Besides, 9 million CS gamers can't be wrong.

As a whole, CSX isn't great. The graphics aren't what you would expect for an Xbox game. Its single palyer experience is short. The only good thing is its gameplay and online play. So don't expect 9s for this game.
