    Wow.

"We dont like steam! Its slow and it sucks! So lets help it even more by ddos'ing it!"

Yea, go team to whoever started this. You really have half a mind to think things over.

Wow. There are some real quality d**kheads in this world arent there. I hope they get it sorted soon, and CXG continues as planned. This is really unfair not only to CXG organisers whove put in so many hours, days, months etc to get this event running, but also for valve too whove equally spent many many moons creating steam for us all to use for virtually free. Silly people.

This is kind of off topic, you know the server broswer now can filter Condition Zero so i suppose Condition Zero is out?

There is no big news about it so i was wondering

          Denial of service, eh?

Its probably one of the old hacking squads like myg0t or JAPS. Since VAC is working so well now, they probably need some other way to get the rage...

i find this goofy that they are saying a ddos attack when it says on steams site it was due to power outages and hardware failures due to power going out. Of coure there is gonna be a huge hit when 100000+ people are sitting there and keep trying to connect when there isnt enough bandwidth and only half of steam is up. Everything lately that happens bad with steam or valve seems to be a "hackers" fault...

The frontpage of Steampowered calls it a device failure.

This proves that Steam is complete and utter garbage: when you centralize a network, things like this happen. When you centralize a network that is primarily used by teenagers and IMMATURE teenagers, you're creating a big sign that says "Go script kiddies! Go download a 'hack' to flood us."

Electronic Punk is right, they reported it as a power failure, and they're creating redundancies to fix it, right now. What's with the conflicting news?

Who ever did it, was a lameass. And I hope it does not happen again..

DOS?! Denial of service? Then what does XP stand for? Xcruciating pain?
