    Steam Update Recalled

    Update #2: Update Recalled (steampowered.com):
We have identified a bug in the recent update which was causing Steam users to download much more content than was necessary. This was overloading the network and not allowing people to play games, so we have reverted back to the previous version for now. There will probably be some network congestion due to all this for the next couple of hours or so.
Update: This update has been released. Restart your Steam application.

A Steam Client Update is expected for release at around 4PM Eastern (1PM Pacific). When this update is released, you will be required to restart your Steam Client to receive it.[break="changelog"]
» Added support for "trickle update", which will allow updates to games to be delivered over time before they are activated.

» Optimizations in Steam targeted at reducing CPU and memory load on some systems.

» Progress dialog always shows now during startup.

» Fixed handling of cache fingerprint mismatch on reconnect

» Fixed case which would cause the preloader ignoring errors to send extra messages to the Steam servers.

» Fixed bug in Steam that would cause cache to be validated too often when Steam started. This would cause hard drive thrashing.

» Fixed a potential lockup case and access violation case in Steam.

    Steam Update Recalled

Although a Steam update was released that addressed some problems, it has been recalled due to a crash bug in the update release. Only time will tell when the release will be fixed, however. As always, when the release is ready, simply restart Steam to get updated. The following is the changelog:[break]
    • changed http download behavior to retry connections using old trickle download method if it can't download all files.

    • fixed a crash bug when connecting to a dedicated server with an empty mapcycle.

    • fixed a bug where mp3 volume wasn't working properly.

    • fixed "steam userid 0:0:1 is already in use on this server" message when connecting to lan servers in offline mode.

    • fixed memory leak in hltv.

Still nothing about the demo bug? I really wish they would fix it so I dont get 30 fps when I'm trying to record.

why would you want more than 30fps when recording? for a video, 30fps is sufficient. u could interlace it, and get 60fps.

Is it me or is this update slightly larger than the others? The download time is enough I could take a nap while it was going on.
