The ritual version is fun to play but the models arent THAT good.

Ok, here's the deal.....I Pre-Ordered Condition Zero through Amazon.com when it said that the gaem was going to be released on Nov 1, and it said it would ship it to me on the 4th(tomorrow). Now, the site says that the game isnt going to be released until Nov 30! However, it still says that they will ship conditon zero to me by the 4th. Can anyone please tell me if they can shed some light on this? Like do u think they will still be able to ship it by the 4th or by the 14th or by the 2nd of dec? I dunno!?

Wait 1 sec... cant somebody just make new weapon/player models. i mean ppl have been doing it for so long for counter strike. So if VALVe decides to use the original player/weapon models, im a month or so, someone will porbably release player models that look exactly like Ritual's.

**if this doesnt make sense, sry. i dont bother trying to make things understandable.

          Okay,

I haven't paid much attention to CZ. Hell, I've only been playing counter strike for six months, but I do know that playing it is more addictive than crack (alright so I don't KNOW this but whatever...).

When I think back to the pinnacle of single player FPS I think of James Bond Goldeneye. I mean, Do you guys not remember that game? Sure it didn't have the advanced "realistic" *snicker* recoil system, and it was only a one man versus a thousand style game (no teams there), but it was as fun as hell.

As much as it pains me to say it, who cares if there's no new models? And who cares if there's no new weaponry? I think that this game will be made or broken by the fact that it entertains. I think that I speak for everyone when I say that no one wants CZ to be another Goldeneye, but if it could capture the replay value of Goldeneye, then we'd have one hell of a product.

I know that having to rack up an ace with a scout would keep me entertained.

Another point that I noticed was virtually untouched: I hope that a lot of people get this game for Christmas who have never played CS before. They'll give CZ a whirl, love it (hopefully) and then go out and play CS. Not only does this add one more player into the vastly growing counter strike community, but he/she is already somewhat skilled in the game. This means that even if by the smallest percentile, there will be a few less "N00bs" for all you to whine about.

One of the hardest things that I found when first playing the game was map recognition. I mean, prodigy scared me to death. But if we familiarize new people with old maps then we can all rest a little easier knowing that the last two minutes of a rou8nd will not be spent while a n00b aimlessly searches for an afk at his own spawn. A few more people will know not to spray a 15 round burst with an AK, and will not have to face a barrage of "OMFG n00b!! Take ur 1337 skillz back to Mario Kart!!!!" in the say text below.

So bring on CS:CZ. I'll buy it, and I'm sure that an army of gamers will, and in the end I think that it will only make counter strike in general a better game.

in my honest opinion, I would've preferred Ritual's shot at the game. at least they're bringing back 12 of the Ritual missions, and improving 9 of the maps (even if they're minor touch-ups).

              It's not worth $50, however.

I want CZ. ANd aftr these negative remarks, i still want it. It looks cool and its like playing CS with no lag. Also i agree with McNiel. WIth CZ, more N00bs may actually learn to play decently. Then we will have less camping/AWP whores/shield whores. And anyway it can be more training for the fairly decent, such as myself. And even if the old models are used, theyre graphically updated, which is the next best thing IMO

I disagree with all of you who think Ritual's version was even clase to good. Sure, it has some new player uniform crap...who cares??? It's the game play that counts and Rituals gameplay was more like SOCOM + MAX PAYNE + Matrix..what does that equal? 1/2 a ton of shit. It wasn't good. This version is a LOT better.
