I have been looking at Ritua's web site (to refresh my memory) and there updated versions of the weapons and the player skins are simply outstanding!



I really cannot understand why Valve would decide not to use them.

Though returning to (what seems like) basically Gearbox's work after all this wasted time and discarding some of Ritual's best contributions (player/wep models) seems inspired by the same genius who planned their security systems.

Why the hell did they take away the awesome new models and weapons???

CZ was actually looking pretty good until they wen't back to the 1.6 models. The single player sounds o.k with the bots but without the new weapons and models it's just not worth it.

i dont get it myself. when i read it, it sounded cool, but when i read more i was sad to find out that all it really is, is some pretty rad new looking maps and bots...i was one of the few who played cs sense the beginning of its creation, and when i heard a sequal was to appear, my ears oppend..I was one of the few who scoped over the project forever a time..each day i would look up videos, new weaps, and many of the beatiful skins. I was so excited to hear about the updated polyagon count, it was a tiny change and that was what kept it counter-strike. This was all good news..and who remembers the beautiful video of the helicopter being shot at and sorta crashing around some buildings? that was so awesome, it was like counter-strike wearing a tuxedo! it was so rad. Even now when i look at it, it looks ok (worth a cs update but not a new game). As i looked at the shots i was sad to see the gross green menu highlighting color, i think orange looked great. The menus look so thrown together like its just a little add-on or offbrand mod. I excpected beautiful color menus and wondeful looking new models and was excited for the singleplayer only weapons. Now that i see this has all been thrown out i feel sorry for the people who took the time to make a pretty cool looking game and then have it all destroyed and to be neverused again... this is upsetting... but because ive played cs forever a time, i will stay loyal and purchase CZ.

dude...no offense, but it looks the exact sameas 1.6. you are all kidding yourselves if you think it looks better. it doesnt. rituals skins were awsome. breathtaking imo for the engine. it doesnt LOOK nice. it looks like 1.6, which looks like crap, but the gameplay is fun. fun is in 1.6 that is free. fun is in cz which=cs and costs dinero! its a scam! its a friggin sin what valve has done!



someone mentioned suing valve for false advertisement...lets do that. because the video and action that was portrayed in that video and all its prettiness is bye-bye. welcome to cs:BS:BOTtacular..

EDIT: yeah i do agree on some asspects though, because really its only worth an update not a new game, the way its talked about and advertised is decieving, but that is the very esense of the gaming comunity as we know it... they will sucker me into buying another patch..



which brings me to another point.. whos to say that someone wont "convert" the cz maps to work for cs... whos to say someone wont find out how to get the cz bots to be availble and perfectly working for cs.. theres to much what ifs' that get us going into a pool of curiosity, its how the few of us are sucked in to buy stuff not worth what appears....

KTRICK7 chill out with the win and lose , what game is this comsumers vs the producers and money is the points... if captain wants to buy something with his hard earned money, i bet he will be the winner. If you do not, then state your own opinion, but don't inforce it on others.



As for me, i'm with captain, i haven't been playing since its creation, but cs is the only game i play anymore, and i'll buy it just to test out my 1337 skills vs computer. Like the russian chess player vs deepblue. i'm a fan, and thats what we do.



PS. your kidding right, rituals works is somewhere hidden like when you beat the game with blah blah blah you get new model, that would actually make sense.

what a slap in the face for ritual. they didnt even put "ritual" on the top. if they released cz when ritual was done i would have never have bought it. it looks like a much better game now. i dont think ill buy it though. i'll have to think about it. ;]

WHAT?!?! No new weapons or weapons models?! WTF?! Wasn't that half the point of CZ? New guns, new models, new levels... NEW. So basiclly they are gonna try and sell us a Simulated Multiplayer? With the same 4-year-old guns, models, and maps? That we can just go online and play with REAL people anyways? What a fucking pile of horse shit!!! Valve must take their customers for idiots if they think we will buy the same game again.
