I don't know, I always thought the Ritual models weren't ugly. If it ain't broke, don't fix it.

Atleast Ritual supports their products, Valve still hasn't addressed the cheating in cheater-strike or any other half-life mods. I like what Ritual was working on, now they have to grab it off of them and let someone else bastardize the work they put into making a great game.... as for someone above asking about gearbox's work on cz, they dropped it to work on Halo for PC.

THIS was so much better, look at the models.. how is that we still have that fucking 5 years-old terro??

It just looks liks cs w/ a high-res pack.. how is that it took 3 years or something to get THAT? what was wrong in those studios' work that the almighty VALVe had to trash?
i agree... no no equipt, guns and only half rituals SP levels... that sucks.

Have to say I agree that this seems very similar to the Gearbox version (but could be wrong. Feel free to correct me), and that both the Gearbox and Ritual models would have been better than the 1.6 ones.

Still, at least it's fun now. Apparently. The preview was worth it, if only for the use of the word "dolt".

OK....im new to this community, but i read your posts a lot.

uhhmm...trying to remain in complete control. i had hope yesterday...today that hope is utterly crushed.

im pissed. i really am. if you guys dont care that it took them 3 years to have the same 1.6 player models, and the basic same maps, then you wont care.

bots sound pretty cool imo. thats the ONLY good thing i have to say.

No new weapons? no new models?

oooh boy we get to play the same map over and over again. basically simulating online play. you have frenchies and SEALs and germans CTs running around together in a happy happy killing spree....please o PLEASE tell me you are kidding. how did we go from the last video they released to this POS idea? i mean REALLY! that is quite a step BACKWARDS!!!!! they are copping out! doesnt anyone realize this? i mean it so amaising! they are trying to sell us a frickin joke in a box! i was soooo stoked for this game. now i just want to cry. i dont mind the engine is 5 years old. ok..fine..whatever...do something DIFFERENT GASH DANGIT PLEASE!!!!!!!!!! cs is cs (sweet as it is good golly) but sz is supposed to be DIFFERENT Q#@%#@%#@%#@%#@%#@.

breathing...whoooh...whoooh. that review made it all sound so great. thought it was funny how they blew through the fact that there was no new weapons and models and cool gameplay features. like it didnt matter, cuz now we gots bots that can talk! well yea, that is SWEET! but holy socks...are you kidding me? is that all its worth? no, i can get all that playing on line. unbeleivable people....i cant fathom what drugs these ppl are on. holy flying fetcher.

oh and just like it was said earlier, i like the environment specific modles also...that was, im my opinion, what would make the games so fricking awsome. and yeah, the guy who said that it was the same game....yeah i agree...ind i hate that green pullover...get new models you slackers!

well, im not buying it, and sorry/thanks for listening to my rant.

It finally happened. The most uninformed comment in the history of the world has been posted.

i'm not excited about it, i don't think i'll like it, but i've been addicted to counter-strike for 3+ years so i'm forced to buy it.

Hm, will CZ require a unique cd key to play and how will CZ owners still get to play CS classic for matches and such...?

No new player/weapon models? That's just ghey. Wasn't that the point of Condition Zero though? To bring in a new look to Counter-Strike, and to bring in a single player feel to it? I think that now VALVe took over (like they should have in the beginning, in my opinion), made Counter-Strike 1.7 with new textures and a better bot, and slapped on the Condition Zero name on it to make the community happy. Now the question I ask is:

Did they really make the Counter-Strike community happy though?

EDIT: They also should have support for custom weapon and player models, or release a Ritual Model Hi-Definition pack for free. Maybe they should have that as an option in the Deleted Scenes content... there's an idea for VALVe...

Since probally no one really buys it theres no problem, i just like the idea i can play with non-hackers for once, considering these bots aren't like pod-bots at all

Looks simply... horrible. If it was a free download on Steam, sort of like an "update" to cs 1.6 that allowed SP, then it would be awesome. But as a stand alone game it is nothing but the AI that we had in the beta and a few set missions that make no sense (kill with a fiveseven, one shot scout, etc. etc.).
