The same way you ban sprays, if you see an enemy doing it, take a screenshot. You win.

Of course Valve couldn't fix everything in time. I mean, sometimes even the CTs faces are distorted when deploying the shield and ducking! If they could they not see that in testing and fix it, it's bound to be buggy. So it's good that it's not used in league play for now.



However, I do very much hope that they allow if if the problems get fixed to an acceptable degree. It's a refreshing change. All the set-in-their-ways veterans afraid of it's "invinvibility" are just being reactionary in fearing it. The shield gives new depth to skill, you now need to be able to target other players while still keeping an eye for the shielder, the target selection process just got even more important. Also, skill in movement is now more important in outmaneuvering the shielders.



At any rate, it most likely won't get used much in league matches, it's expensive, takes away the possibility to use a primary weapon and if it falls to the Ts it's probably more useful for them than the CTs.

I knew this was coming. Top-teir teams were all against the shield and so was anyone with any experience with competetive cs. I can't understand how some of you can actually believe that this introduced new strats for league play.



What kind of strat involves an impenetrable wall that completely skews the hitboxes to a random proportion, oh yeah, a gimmick strat. T's might as well do a nade circle every round if they go up against more than 1 "shield weilding faggot". Plus, the exploit is not fixed.

If anyone thinks they'll fix shield exploits in one month... you're crazy... its taken 7 months just to get the shield this far!



Finally though, at least CAL has banned it. Maybe now all the VALVe fanboys will quit hanging off VALVes ****.

shield is fine so long its not a de_ map methink. they shud integrate shield restrictions on de_ maps into cs like they ban certain weaps on as_ maps and defusers on non de_maps.

I agree for the removal of the sheilds... for the tiem being of course, once the errors are fixed, id love to see them reinstated. it makes me sad to see a part of the game taken out for jsut being unfair... its like banning the aw/m or m4 or ak in a game because they are effective weapons. but, as i pointed earlier, it should stay away untill the errors are effectively repaired

And, the shield should be used for any map, who the hell play's "as_" maps anymore anyways?



All I know is that I can own with the shield, And I can also own shielders.



Deal with it, get skill at it, you'll be happy with it.

The shield is not of recent idea, just recently implemented to the game. Gooseman thought of having a tactical shield since the very beginning of counter-strike, but it proved too difficult to do.
