My first guess was 1.2 which I cubed to get 1.728

My second guess was 1.26 which I cubed to get 2.000376

In hindsight. Perhaps Valve should have done a traditional CS 1.6 update release a week or two before Steam. It might have prevented the massive congestion problems had people had a month or two to Steam up and running before everything switched to Steam.

one of the few smart things said ever...although CS 1.6 was not ready for release...it just came out coz it was 1.6 beta and they said just make it final...most ppl were expecting 1.5 to come on steam but surprise!!!

It was probably just a test release to get prepared for the HL2 release. Now they see the load on their servers hopefully they will upgrade to meet the demand.

I am not sure whats going on but I just got done playing and I am still connected to steam,
