had a funneh idea for shield, if all the ts sumhow manage to get their hands on em, plant the bomb, make a shield wall around the bomb an watch the cts tryin to defuse lol, dunno if this wud work since i ain;t got steam, it would only take about 8 yr to dwnld.

Does anyone know if hl 2 when it comes out will have steam included?

If it don't i'm never gunna get it, i'm on 56k an can't leave it on over night cuz ma internet cuts off, they should at least not remove WON.

I love 1.6 it is by far the best version of counterstrike yet imho. i dont have a problem with the shield but it certainly should not stop and ak at point blank if such a shield existed it would weight so much u wouldnt be able too run or move. that said either put the shield back too only stopping smg and pistols minus deagle, or make it so u cant move fast nonblocking or at all when its blocking



i have been playing cs for a long time and csbeta1.6 for the past 8 months because 1.5 was too much bs introducing steam was key cuz now they can update on the fly i like the concept matter of fact i think the concept alone is so ingenous but the actual product needs improvement which they admit.in the end they will hopefully fix the shield and bandwidth issues and they will have the single greatest company ever. even tho i was cursing them out when i wasnt able too play a game i simply have too play daily or anger overcomes me

Why are people blaming valve for the shield, have you even stopped and thought that the fact the shield was actually added, was because of everyone who complained about the awp.



So .. valve add in a item that helps protect against the awp, and now they get even more crap thrown back at them.

I love the way people say "OMG the Shield sux0rs my nutz0rs" and all this crap, well if you're not good enough to adapt your playing style so that you can overcome this obstacle then are you really half the CS player you thought you were?

steam is cool and i like 1.6... but it will take some getting used to tho.

i think that the worst thing is that now when you try to put custom anything in it starts to glich like peaple swim when they die or flap like they are flying with shield.

Kra o jogo ta muito casca, o escudo, os novos rifles, botei feh, mas ter de baixar pelo Steam esse eh o problema, esse Steam eh uma merda, trava direto e muito podre.

Mas pelo CS 1.6 ate q vale a pena, o jogo ta muito bom e bem feito.

I think that VALVe should have added a Molotov cocktail to the game for the Ts to even out the shield imbalance...It could burn for a short time on the ground and burn you a bit after you leave the fire (set the player on fire for a second or two).



Didn't they toy around with this idea for Condition Zero? Maybe not, but I thought I saw a screenshot or something about that...Anyway it would be a cool item like the shield =)



Also: Rifles should penetrate the shield a bit! That would encourage more strategy, because people with rifles could take down people with shields more easily.



They also need to change the m4a1 pee model! It still has that annoying scope on it, even though there is no scope on the gun! =/ They can change that right? Are they just too lazy or are there inherent game restrictions?
