1.6 is great, except for STEAM. I hate STEAM and think it is totally pointless. What was wrong with the old system ?? Now I can't play 1.6 because STEAM refuses to run properly and slows up my computer, big time.

Apart from that, the Galil, and FAMAS are kickass guns (played it round my mates) and I thnk the shield is fun! Have draws. You with a rifle, and your with the shield (or vice versa) - that way the rifleman has the firepower and the shieldman has the surprise factor. On teamplay, its uber-fun for CTs and if people diverted their moaning energy to trying to beat the CTs, they can find it's fun too!

Suprise factor? Does the shield have a cloaking device we never heard of? Or do big black boxes just get ignored by your braincells?

A few changes. Riot shield. If it stops bullets, make it damn more expensive than the AWP or Para. $9000 seems suffice, but $16000 is just asking for trouble.



If steam figures out all the bug issues they've been having, I'm sure it'll please the CS community. Just another thing: I better not be paying $10 per month to use the system or something or it's good-bye CS, you money-grubbing sleezer, you.

Riot shield ...i ok if it is a riot shield ..and not the totally unreal..steam tank .....knife going through the shield ...what is this DUNE ?..but the awp dont .....riot shield or kevelar shield what ever you want to call them ..degrade with damage and cant stop anything above 7. ish in calibre like ak's awp desert eagles etc etc .....now i know what you will say it is only a game ...well then ..why not add a fecking laser to my ak or a flamethower on my knife ?

I have to agree in this case, although steam is proving to be quite dodgy on the stability front, I think everyone should lay off it a bit, I mean, I remember the huge uproar when they changed jumping, yet no-one seems to complain now .... after a while I think everyone will except the new system and just get on with playing cs :)

Come on Nighthawk mate ...I did the beta tons of us did yeah steam was fine during beta....but again a fraction of cs players where on it ....



Now we are talking all the mods dod etc etc ...and adding new titles hl2 etc.



Even valve admit the numbers didn't add up ...and still they released knowing this



steam for 4 days was a solid mess from release even you guys here at csn had trouble even finding out wether 1.6 was final even after steam went live..



Feedback from valve was poor .......now check won you'll find quite a few people there ..so when won goes down for good will steam be gubbed again with all that lot updating...and when HL2 comes out and valve start selling HL2 over it ( and they had better not pull any stunts like steam release first then retail boxed versions) . again you can kiss your cs goodbye again unless steam problems have been ironed out.



I dont know what will happen , mostly cause valve hasn't told ayone still says 1.6 beta on their site?, and being locked into to steam to play sp and lan is ridiculus...the UI has to be fixed.......



Not bitchin mate ...just the facts cold and simple ....steam beta was good ..steam final may be good but will we ever find out or will it be crippled but what it is trying to achive..
