Finally getting a server list and it either timing out while connecting or just hanging my PC again...

The beta worked...so why the Fuckup ?

ok ok, i honestly don't mind the pricy chatter of SUX and FUX valve and steam, but if your going to say 'you ruined cs' then explain how? valve killed cs to be more precise.. makin us download useless crap and not optimizing for modemers.. they make cs alot more annoyin coz new peepl who play find dat they hav to buy CD.. then download another friggen 300 meg program..



and cs 1.6 sux coz new guns r abit gay and the riot shield is jus screaming for peepl find exploits.. y change the accuracy?? 1.5 is good already!!..

i like steam and think it will be fine once they get the bugs worked out. Friends and chess is gr8.

1.6 is basically 1.5 with a few bug fixes and additions and general smoothing out of a great game. If u dont like the new additions i.e the famas. dont FUCKING USE THEM! simple as. uve got exactly the same game with loads of bug fixes with a tweaked and improved netcode with better graphics and a general all round more tactical game (smokes are making a massive feature in 1.6) God knows what would have happened if they would have made a major change to the game. Personally i would like to see a few major changes. namely to the HUD and P and W models. But if they were ever to do this people like MAX would just start a nonsensical thread about how he would like to set Erik Johnsons dogs on fire and stick a tampon up his nose. All they are doing is providing new software and content to a game you paid for years ago. Get some fucking appriciation into your head lad.

these steam basher are the same people who spit on grandma's christmas socks because its not a new bike. First off, grandma is living off social security and she has like eight more bastard grand kids to shop for. valve is trying, their giving an effort, they have a great game with a great many people hooked, try to think of it from their perspective. I mean if i worked for valve i would put shit loads of advertisments in cs. Also who can blame them for wanting a more controlled environment, these games didn't earn much last two years yet they have fist full of people working on them. If you want to bash a company put your frustration on MS. compare the two and feel the love from valve, and the cold dead grip of MS.

Well things seem to be smoothing out and maybe we can all get back to normal soon. Thanks for the conciliatory comments Greg. After three magor download attempts(I ran out of E-mail addresses) and numerous hangups I finally got on 1.6, but still like the old Piranesi so much more than the new version. Everything else is pretty much the same cept for shields....those damn shields....nades seem to wipe em out though.

I hate microsoft haters....they changed the world dude.

The impression I have from other sites/forums is that the installer + cache is the only guaranteed way of getting CS to work properly.



3 days and counting !!!



Oh and to those who got a bit heated cos we were slagging STEAM...

OK, they are updatiing an old game 4 free.. buts thats only so they can sell more CS CZ for it's multiplay side. The whole process has been a bit disasterous... but the again, they are patching Star Wars Gallaxies several time A DAY!!!! and you have to pay for that !!
