Anyone here map? Cause I can't figure out how to configure the game/mod directories in Hammer/WorldCraft. And even then... is there a way to go into demo mode to test the maps?

Its amazing, I can see in like 6 months time Steam will be working fine and everyone will be like

And on top of that people are crying because they can't play CS when 1.5 is still up and running and 1.6 is still BETA. It doesn't make sense, perhaps they should read the news and posts before believing they HAVE to download Steam.

well, i don't think that trust should be so extreme on his views about how steam sucks. it does suck, but cmon, you fucking try working in a close nit group of about a dozen people at valve and you try feeling the pressure of maintaining 500,000 people dl'ing cs. they are already doing a satisfactory job, so if you wanna complain, go ahead and work for vavle and see if you can do a better job.

There's really no right to complain in this instance though. 1.5 is still working and the WON system has not been takin down yet, so it is not like people cannot still play the game they paid for. Nobody is being required to download Steam right now, which means that since it is optional... if you don't like the problems with it right now then don't download it. Valve can't be hassled for things that go beyond their control, such as servers being bogged by such a huge demand. Just be patient.

LMFAO Has anyone tried there skins/models? lol Everytime a dude dies they leave an exact body image as if they laged out, and every gun skins of ur seems to show up in the opposite hand, and Ive been getting errors.. LOL I hope they show my SS I took with a terrorist trying to hug me... LMFAO, the shield always stands up with skins/models and it looks like there trying to hug me

IT'S ALIVE... IT'S ALIVE!!!!!

yes it finally worked for me!!! let me tell you what I did, maybe it will help for the rest of you:



1) I downloaded the version of Steam with CS already with it



2) Uninstall any Steam you had on before but choose CUSTOM uninstall. Select everything that is on the list that comes up.



3) Close every program you have running(AIM, mIRC, yahoo, MSN) and If you have Norton turn that off too.



4) Reinstall steam



5) I created a new account with a new email address I made.

I only entered my nick name and didn't enter my First or Last name. For some reason it didnt work when I entered 1st and last name.



6) I chose CS, DOD, TFC, and HL.



7) I chose all the maps



8) Half way through the updating of TFC it froze. ctrl alt del. and end task of steam



9) Open up steam again (this took a few seconds)



10) CS should be on your list, double click it and it should open...it did for me anyways



**I suggest only choosing Counter Strike when it asks for what games you want.



I hope this helps other people, I need people to play with!

thats more or less what i done but for som odd messed up reason mines still times out everytime i want to connect to a server with people in it :S

any one got any ideas for my problem ?
