Geez, I have 10 PCs to upgrade to STEAM, but NONE of them works with STEAM properly. I estimate that it would take two darn weeks to complete STEAM installation successfully. I pray for a guy who must install STEAM over 60 PCs. -_-)>

and then put that onto a CD, it will speed up your install significantly.

Humm... my errors are different:



Host_Error: DispatchUserMsg: Illegal User Msg 255

and

Host_Error: CL_ParseServerMessage: Illegible server message - svc_bad



I get the second one while i start either internet or lan game. Email tech support on the steam site.



Oh... BTW i got CS to work, now it's just getting to stay on the servers. If you like have the preparing to start cs and the dots are moving, keep it on and leave it. I read a chapter in a book and turn the moniter back on and it was on the cs start screen.

GuenX i'm guessing that means you are missing Mss32.dll, if you tell me your AIM name i will send you that file over AIM s oyou don't have to re-download the entire thing.

Thx for the suggestion. By the way, I actually have been downloading one of them and it says I need to wait for more than 3 hours to complete the download. What I am disappointed is that I did complete STEAM installation at my house but at my LAN center(PC bang), it's simply impossible to do the installation smoothly compared to my PC. It's so gay"ly" frustrating that I want to scream over here. -_-

But at least it works except for some errors (read 2 above posts) that won't let me keep connected to the servers.

First i uninstalled final steam, the 500k installer



Then after installing the full 350meg steam+cache, it pops up the login prompt, and steam has been using 100% of my cpu for the next 25mins and still is.



If i try and type my password in, Steam will delete what I typed letter by letter!



i dunno if i should force quit steam or not
