Oh indeed, the arcane system of downloading and installing an upgrade and then happily using it. We must destroy this abomination. Ok, so Steam does have some coolness potential, but I'd advice against becoming a fanboi for it. It has too much "product activation" vibe in it.



btw, gj Valve for making the "Get Steam now" page a dynamic .php, must be easy to serve it during maximum load... which should begin in about 3 minutes.



Also, when I checked that page just a while ago, it still had the Beta locations. But now it correctly shows that there are no locations yet.
