date has alot to do with sales, why do you think major movie companies pick out spots to release movies months in advance, why do movies games delay when they are done, because it's ecnomically more efficient to not release a long awaited game right next to another long awaited game.

Question regarding purchase of HL2:



Where would be the best place to buy this game? I would love to get it the day it is released, or the day after, so perhaps amazon.com isn't the best choice (sometimes they take weeks if they run out of something).



Would EB Games be a good place? There is one near me. Thanks.

CS2 and TF2 are more likely to be stand alone retail products using the Source engine rather than free mods for HL2.

I don't think so since u are paying for HL2 why should u pay for a game that runs based on the system that you already payed for?
