I think that the Molotov Cocktail was supposed to be the T's weapon to counter the Shield, when you throw it it blows up and lights a small area on fire for a few seconds, if you threw this at the feet of a shield formation they would ether have to scatter and break up there formation or stay in formation and burn, the're screwed either way. Without that grenade weapon the shield will probably stay sort of unbalanced, the way to fix this isn't to jack the price of the shield up or remove it from CS the solution is to add the Molotov Cocktail already, but we probably won't see that until at least CS v1.7 if we see it at all.

They should take care of their customer base better? What kind of stupid saying is that? How long have you been around you vetran, a year? You're lucky that Valve even updates it's product that is now going being half a decade old. Valve doesn't owe you anything; they could pull a Deus Ex and not update the game at all since it went retail.



What'd you get Counter-Strike Retail as your 12th birthday present? Because I don't see anyone else here making a video game, it's not like they snap their fingers and it gets done. And if you think your local supermarket cart pushing job can compare to that then you are wrong, working 19 hours overtime to finish a game is always fun.

What I mean.. is people are too wimpy to play OTHER Ballanced custom maps .. de, as, cs etc... not the specialty maps - cause they don't play as well on custom maps cause they dont' know the map as well hence the lower frag counts.. .so everyone likes to play the same sh*t over and over and over --- BORING lol



I look forward to 1.6 and am upset over the fact that it has been almost 2 years and no update for us matchers playing on 1.5 is all.



The only thing I don't like.. and it is not that I don't like it ..I actually like the shield.... But .. it is a little too powerful ...



If you ever got shot by a AWP Artic Warfare Magnum Police weapon.. a magnum shoots a bullet faster than the speed of sound.. that is where it gets the magnum part... if you got hit by a round of that even with a shield that could stop the bullet.. you should be lying on your but crying like a baby at the least lol.....



But this is a game... and not real of course.. just the shield should be toned down.. and at least have a wear rating.. so the more the shield is shot or stops bullets it becomes weaker and weaker... this would make it a little more balanced in my humbe opinion lol. It should not stop an awp round but I can live with that.. but it shouldn't be inpenatrable. I mean common it is a riot shield .... supposed to stop rocks and pistol bullets, and maybe, maybe light rifle fire.. .otherwise the damn thing would have to be so heavy it can hardly be carried lol...

But I do have some questions that might be worth answering. If it is the same cobble with some tweaking and new textures? Are the known exploits fixed, flashbang into the box and the boost into that dead area at T spawn?

I don't think I've blown it, but as always, no one will know until it all goes public. There is the occasional tweak here and there plus some additional textures. Most players will only notice one major change.



The flashbang bug is fixed. All the bugs classified as 'cheats' by the official leagues have been 'fixed' or prevented somehow (all those I know of, anyway).



Don't expect anything amazing or revolutionary, but don't expect to see the boring old grey cobble anymore. One of my pet peeves with the existing version was how dull it was - I've generally gone over it and added the slight visual improvement here and there.

It's probably a nice little screenshot of cobble... hence the CSNation exclusive statement. Speaking of exclusive, let's hope it's as good a makeover as the new aztec.

i liked cbble a lot better before dave added the door to the t snipe tower.... i thought it was a blast camping with 85% of t team in that tower and blowing off every ct head that was stupid enough to go up the ladder!
