What's the matter with you ?!? CZ is out on September 12th in Germany and I guess worldwide as well. If you only read CS Nation, then you have an excuse - cos they're not up to date in this case. But basically it's only getting released because the game would be dustbin after HL2 is out. There's quite a few things missing that were announced for CZ and especially the AI sucks - according to "GameStar", a German magazine that reviewed CZ. This magazine actually said that the best thing about CZ is that CS 1.6 is already included in the package ... I dunno if CZ is really such a bad game as the magazine says, but I was never interested in CZ anyway. I always waited for HL2 and soon ... :)

Anyways, I have promised myself that I will never play steam again until the shield is removed. I hate it, if they have that for the Ct's the give the terrorists rocket launchers to blow them up. I'm sick of them, I've seen people make the turtle formation outta them before, but nothing a good nade can't fix.

Maybe Dave wants to suprise us all with something amazing. Im sure by now, his mapping skills are like ten times better then when he made the original dust or cbble. I'm kind of dissapointed in myself for playing 1.6 all this time, and not having any great surprises left.

All I can say is, Don't blow this one.



Cobble has always been one of my favorites, with some very fond memories.



But I do have some questions that might be worth answering. If it is the same cobble with some tweaking and new textures? Are the known exploits fixed, flashbang into the box and the boost into that dead area at T spawn?

CS 1.6 has been in development for well over a year. In the past they released updates at least once a year sometimes 2 or 3x a year.



I know I know that they upgraded the engine etc etc etc.. and using steam.....

How long are we supposed to wait?????



I need some new things to do. CS 1.5 is getting old... I don't even pub much anymore cause it is the same thing over and over .. nobody plays custom maps so it is dust, dust2, aztec, iceworld ..................................................

I enjoy 1.6 but we need the 1.6 for regular cs so we can shake the community up .... the new shield is going to add an entire new dimension to the game and will take us old CS vets some time to integrate that into our strats.... even matching on 1.5 gets boring after you play the same maps 10000 times. Why do people not want to play custom maps… it keeps the game interesting…. I think it is cause they don’t know the map as well so don’t play as well… fooy on them lol……… they are one of the reasons the game gets stale cause they are afraid of their frag count dropping …



Not trying to be negative here.. just very frustrated and beginning to get angry......



It seems as if they won't release 1.6 until CS CZ is ready.... why make us wait.. why not pick a place let us update and go with it until CS CZ is ready on its own? Then patch us to that level... sheesh



Pubbing is great on 1.6 and I am sure we could scrape a scrim together occasionally if we wanted too.. but common lets move forward and stop making us wait and wait and wait .... people will eventually leave the game if they don't get off their ass.



At this rate .. freaking hl2 will be released before 1.6! All that work could go to waste if Valve releases a CS mod for HL2 or a CS2



Does every game they are working on need to take presidence over the game that made them rich in the first place..??????

And before you start with the flames .. go play a different game etc etc…. I shouldn’t have too.. they should take care of their customer base better….. If they are going to treat us this way why should I hurry up and rush to buy the next one if they are going to spend 2 years on just a upgrade?



Valve being so closed lipped about all this doesn’t help either…sure they throw us a bone here and there but they don’t really tell us why this is taking so freaking long.



But if you want flame away .. lol I could care less makes no matter to me and I will not change my attitude.. .patients just aren’t there not after almost 2 years lol.



As they say money talks and BS walks .. remember I am a customer just like you the person reading.

Custom maps huh? Iceworld is one of the worse custom maps invented. CS vetran liking iceworld, please... that's an insult. All of you people are funny because you are so hypocritical, if you don't like CS 1.6, if you hate the riot shield, play a different game.



It's simple. But the same thing will happen that has happened since you "CS Vetrans" bought it retail. You adapt.



They should take care of their customer base better? What kind of stupid saying is that? How long have you been around you vetran, a year? You're lucky that Valve even updates it's product that is now going being half a decade old. Valve doesn't owe you anything; they could pull a Deus Ex and not update the game at all since it went retail.



What'd you get Counter-Strike Retail as your 12th birthday present? Because I don't see anyone else here making a video game, it's not like they snap their fingers and it gets done. And if you think your local supermarket cart pushing job can compare to that then you are wrong, working 19 hours overtime to finish a game is always fun.
