Just my logic on it.



1. CS:CZ though single player will have the multiplayer elements. This will make it basically CS 1.6 Retail. They'll want to milk it for all the cash they can.

2. Steam. I expect Steam to consume more time as they work on it even more to have it perfected for CS2.

3. Even if Valve starts on a CS2 project this month and says it'll be done in July 2004, you're a fool to beleive them. Expect it 4-6 months later.



Finally. How long has 1.6 been in beta 6 or 7 now? This is the only HL thing I'm waiting on right now. CS 1.6 should be all that matters. Updates reinvigorate the game.

CS2 is a team project between good old gooseman and valve, and last time i checked, it was in development. That was around the time of a gooseman interview, dunno which one so dont ask but I remember watchin somethin on a video about it too. Valve usually isnt late with their releases. CZ u say? thats not valve. They arent the developers, they just control whether it works with cs 1.6 when it all comes together. I do not know of any delays of any of their own games.

CS2 has been in production for 2 years. Gooseman had a interview on a winamp shoutcast a few years ago and also he was featured in a news program while in his home in canada and he shows work he was doing on CS 2. Some model/hit reaction stuff.

actually, it's okay to get choke as long as it's below 20, anything above 20 he should lower cl_updaterate by 10's until he's under that amount. his rate should always stay at 9999 and his cl_cmdrate should always stay at 101.

Also, call me an idiot, but I don't see why the presence of a few folders in the steam directory is deemed to be "evidence of a switch". I don't understand. So there's 2 new folders. That means valve is working on CZ now? I don't see the correlation.
